Babolat Pure Storm/Pure Control Fan Club

Do you guys keep anything else in the bag with your pure storms or controls? I have a PST and a PSTGT along with an ultra tour. Just picked up a tt290 for days I want to play lazy. By far the pure storms are my go to

    Yusuki method on APDC

I feel like the problem is I’m pulling the string taut before putting the tensioner and it is then pulling to a higher tension than what I’ve set the drop weight to requiring a significantly greater force to just release the clutch so I can release. This is just what I’m assuming after trial and...

    Yusuki method on APDC

I either find the linear gripper still holding the string, or in the other scenario, it takes way too much force to release the clutch in the beginning.

    Yusuki method on APDC

I think the problem in our communication was with me using acronyms. I’m using the alpha pioneer dc plus and trying to string a pure storm tour gt. I do agree the problem is with the operation of the linear gripper and clutch.

    Yusuki method on APDC

Definitely using a starting clamp, but struggling to release the clutch, feels like it’s too tight. Any tutorial videos on apdc? I couldn’t find any when i looked through YouTube. It actually seems no matter how I do it, I find the clutch too difficult to release.

    Yusuki method on APDC

I’m new to stringing, only done 2 racquets so far. When I try and follow the Yusuki method and pulling both mains, I can’t get the clutch to release to release tension. Any suggestions? If this isn’t the best way for a beginner, please recommend what to do to start. I just followed Irvin’s...

Yonex VCORE PRO 97 330 vs Yonex EZONE 98 Tour vs Yonex EZONE 98+

I’m coming from the same situation my main stick is the pure storm tour the xtreme carbon one. I personally found the vcp 330 of the ones you listed the best. Other sticks I found quite easy to switch to were the Wilson ultra tour and pro, head pro tour 2.0, and prestige pro. They might also...

    Diary of a Racketaholic

The tt290 is a perfect back up racquet on a bad day or just to relax more than usual. I can’t see it being my main unless I get an injury. I was also shocked I usually dislike 100 in frames and lighter racquets but this felt perfect. Smooth, crisp, I can’t praise it enough. I did feel the 330...

Thanks for the advice, it was the same reasoning I demoed the 290 instead but I loved it so much I didn’t want to potentially miss out on an even better frame. I should’ve given my thanks for the Iga also since if not for lurking on this thread I wouldn’t have heard of it nor tried it. 2 new...

    Diary of a Racketaholic

Just demoed the tt290, vcp 330 and pure strike tour. TT290 is a gem. First rally and my hitting partner stops me and asks what did I change to. I could flatten out or hit massive spin. Didn’t feel tired and when I did feel tired 2 hrs in I switched back to this from vcp and it was easy power...

The pt2.0 is a brilliant racquet. The more I play the more I like it. My second choice racquet behind my PST. I actually find it great on everything but my OHBH, just can’t dial that in. Playing a 4.5 friend tomorrow let’s see how it goes.

    Diary of a Racketaholic

Thanks for the advice, I can only speak to the p17 but I also preferred that feel to the v7 blade. Not worried about the stiffness, the wrist pain back them seems to be from going too hard suddenly. I do have some issues with my serves causing me golfers elbow type pain but I’ve identified why...

    Diary of a Racketaholic

Similar situation I came back to the sport after 3 years and had a 3 hr training session with the coach who taught me as a junior. I was still athletic just had changed sport preferences during those 3 years so the wrist pain led me straight to google and I gave up the racquet then. 20/20...
