Peak Wawrinka vs Peak Roddick on hardcourts

Roddick is incredibly predictable about his placement. The only groundstroke he can put any pace on is his inside out forehand off of a shoulder height ball. Wawrinka's chip return is absolutely good enough to keep Roddick pinned on the baseline, and even if it wasn't, Wawrinka will lean to his...

Peak Wawrinka vs Peak Roddick on hardcourts

Have you seen any matches between Roddick and Federer? It's not a tennis match. It's Roddick hitting a ****** approach, failing to follow the line of the ball, and getting passed 90% of the time. The 10% that he gets a racquet on the ball he dumps it in the net. If you take issue with me...

Peak Wawrinka vs Peak Roddick on hardcourts

Complete idiots on this forum. Lets see you clowns try to explain how Roddick would win points against Wawrinka. As soon as the rally goes beyond the serve Wawrinka has the upper hand. More power, better angles, lots of margin for error because of the spin he produces, the ability to come into...

How do I increase grip size without affecting weight too much?

I'm almost 6'3. I don't think my hands are particularly big for my size. Don't know, but I read that Karlovic uses a 5 1/4. Anyway, I used the athletic tape method and it worked okay. Made the grip too soft (not sure if I used the right tape), so I ended up cutting 8 pieces of thin plastic and...

How do I increase grip size without affecting weight too much?

Had a look around the forum and turns out that using athletic tape is popular. Light weight and maintains the shape of the bevels. Might give that a go before trying the balsa wood method.

How do I increase grip size without affecting weight too much?

I'm playing with a 4 5/8 grip (the biggest size I could find), with two replacement grips on it and an overgrip. The problem is it's way too small (fingertips touch my heel pad when I hold the racquet), and pretty heavy too. My question is, what's the best method of increasing the grip size...

Djokovic fans, support your case that Djokovic could beat Prime Safin

Let's be realistic about Safin, this is a guy who had a 0-4 H2H against Robredo. Every time he played a consistent player he would stubbornly hit harder and harder until he missed. There were no subtle sneaks into the net, no dropshots, no variety. Don't compare Safin with Djokovic.

Djokovic fans, support your case that Djokovic could beat Prime Safin

Djokovic has a better forehand, backhand, serve, volley, dropshot, movement, and mentality. Safin has a better overhead and he's better looking, but I'm afraid that's not enough. There's a reason Safin's overall career winning percentage is so low and his H2H against his contemporaries is so...

    Progression in Federer's technique

Have you guys noticed the progression in Fed's technique? It was stiff when he was younger, then it got smoother and more attractive up until about 2007. From then on I think he progressively started holding the racquet more loosely, as well as further down the grip, probably to get more wrist...

Baseliner vs baseliner matches don't have to be boring

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ho_VVwmK-qo Granted these two are proactive baseliners who use angles and come into net.

    Professional doubles should be abolished

You're all massive ****ing idiots. He didn't say that doubles isn't tennis, or that doubles is boring to watch. All he said is that doubles players are earning money while bringing in zero fans and thus zero revenue. Doubles is a financial drain on the tour, that is an objective fact.

How would Serena's serve rate in the men's game?

Her first serve speed is slow compared to the average male. Even slower than Simon's and Seppi's. Now if she served with the fluffier, slower balls that the men used, she would be serving at maybe 170 kph. She would have to hit lines to avoid getting bageled by anyone in the top 100.
