The Road to Super Bowl 50: Field of Jeans 2/7/16

December is nearly hear Tom. I tried to tell you. All in good fun. Biggest Surprises Cincinnati - Never doubted their talent, but didn't expect them to be undefeated this far into the season. Now, if they can just stay healthy for the playoffs... Baltimore - Wow. Who saw that coming? Todd...

Rousey would kill Cyborg too if they fought. I agree that Holly Holm is the only "potential" threat in sight. And that, like you say, would be down the road and is a big if even in that scenario. Anything can happen in MMA, so Holm always has that puncher's chance, but that's pretty much it.

The Road to Super Bowl 50: Field of Jeans 2/7/16

Roger Goodell is an idiot. There's no other conclusion one can draw. He simply will not let this die. And there's no outcome here that benefits the NFL...other than accepting the ruling and just letting this go away. 1) First, this story was absurd from the time it was leaked and has been...

Why I believe Federer will NOT win the US Open

You think? I'd say you're right considering Novak himself hasn't won the Open since 2011. Doesn't seem like he's preventing anybody from winning NYC. I think there's reason to expect Federer to be better this year. In 2012 he played a lot of tennis leading into the Open thanks to the Olympics...

Why I believe Federer will NOT win the US Open

Federer won't win the U.S. Open because at age 34 he's not going to be able to weather the storm from the QFs on in a 5-set format. The courts don't play fast enough to really give him a chance to win. He can be aggressive and shorten points to a degree, but he's still going to be forced into...

Haha! Johny Mac reversed GOAT yet again on ESPN !

Not me, sir. I actually like them for the most part. They just get a little carried away with hyperbole in the moment. Everyone is the best ever every tournament. All-time GOAT is at stake every match.

Haha! Johny Mac reversed GOAT yet again on ESPN !

I agree. The ESPN commentators aren't that bad, in truth, but they are forget the past too quickly. Fed has looked as good this Wimbledon as he has in 5 years at least to me, but he's not as formidable as he was at his very best in the mid-2000s.

    Murray for the USO

I don't think so. I think people underrate Murray on those surfaces. Murray is playing every bit as good as he was when he won two majors. Djokovic has been the consensus best player since 2011. He has won a combined one title at the final two majors since that year. His improved serve should...

Haha! Johny Mac reversed GOAT yet again on ESPN !

I thought the same thing. Will he revert back if Nole wins. Especially if it's in straight sets. And, of course, should Rafa find some solutions over the next 6-8 months and rebound to win his 10th French Open, he will reclaim his McGOAT status. But, it's not just Mac. The ESPN crew gets a...

Then it must be said that that's an awful lot of weight to place on a SF win.

    Murray for the USO

Murray has played Djokovic pretty tough on the slower HC and clay this year. The summer events are faster and favor Andy. He will beat Djokovic in Cincy and NYC if they meet. Djokovic has only beat Murray in faster conditions...at the U.S. Open last year which happened to be his worst year since...

Where does Murray go from here?

The Murray/Djokovic rivalry is clearly defined by the surface they play on. On slow HC or clay, Djokovic wins. Quicker HC or grass and Murray wins. He will beat Djokovic again when they meet on a fast HC later this summer. Probably at the U.S. Open, if not earlier. Regarding Federer, Wimbledon...

Where does Murray go from here?

This. Fed played lights out...maybe the best match he's played since snapping Djokovic's win streak in 2011. I think Murray has been great this year, and I think he lost to the only man who could have beaten him at this Wimbledon. Murray will not get the credit for how good he played in this...
