Suggestions for longer lasting hybrid setup for young junior player?

If your kid is a tour player, go for a full poly and do not waste your time, money and nerves! Can afford to say that as a father of a tour playing (U16) girl. If you can not (due to any reason) use natural gut as a full stringbed or as a hybrid with a poly, the only alternative for a tour...

Pro's Pro Red Devil or Vendetta?

Hi Pro's Pro's Gang! :) Since I couldn't find our beloved "general purpose" thread "Pro's Pro strings" I'll post here my question: Today, on my way to buy the next, consecutive reel of Red Devil, I were ruthlessly extracted from my balance point. The seller guy offered to me some new (or just...

    Pro's Pro Red Devil review

I had the same issue. My daughter (14) also likes and plays with Red Devil but she started with 1.19 and she was able to break it in 3-4 days - 6-8 hrs on a normal 16x19 racquet. Now I put 1.24 and she can't break it in 12-15 hrs. - after that time I restring in any case. I can't see some...

    Pro's Pro Red Devil review

I'll kindly disagree - Red Devil doesn't lose tension in some extraordinary way. It stretches a lot during the stringing. These are different things. After it's strung, behaves itself quite ordinary for a soft poly, even better in comparison to some more expensive others.

Hybrid Set Up Debate - Crosses vs Mains

Here is something that not often could be seen. No comment! :) ... and no need to thank!

    Official Pacific Racquets Thread

Hahaha! You've knocked it a bit - big deal! You should see my daughter's X-Feel Tours! :) She has 3 of them for training and playing tournaments. Try to imagine how 14 y.o. kids regard to their sticks! And so what?! The Pacifics play great and look fittingly scuffed but well corresponding to the...

have you ever loved a really cheap string?

Having no troubles to buy expensive strings and having access to free strings from sponsors for my tour playing daughter, I could say - the most loved strings for us remained the cheapest ones - Forten Sweet (nylon) and Pro's Pro Red Devil (co-polyester). These are junior's (14) choices in fact...

Forten Sweet 17 and ball fuzz

It's neither positive nor negative! :) Тhе ball fuzz is just due to the softness of the particular string. As @fuzz nation noted, Forten Sweet is one of the softest SG and it has very delicate surface which very quickly gets rough and becomes to "pinch" some filaments from the ball. Anyway...

    Arm pains - advice please!

haha... joy but painful! :) I don’t comment the stiffness of the stick. Blade 98 in stock form is relatively light racquet with high swing weight and eventual improper technique is a reasonable precondition for arm injury. All the pros play with similar sticks with even higher SW but they have...

    Arm pains - advice please!

I don't know what is your level of play but if you are not 5.0 at least and up, your problem could be complex but not only the strings! Blade 98 is extremely demanding stick and requires brilliant technique. I remember few years ago my daughter had proposal for sponsorship by Wilson and she...

    Strings for 12yo String Breaker

Since you've obviously refered to my post, here is what I think: Yes, me and my kid did not like how the strings worked at higher tension of the crosses than the mains, no matter what type they are - poly or syngut. The stick plays quite "castrated" in some way, the sound is muted and the ball...

    Strings for 12yo String Breaker

    1. Actually when we've tried soft and stretchable co-polyester strings like Head Sonic Pro and Pro's Pro Red Devil at lower then 50 lbs. tensions we didn't get good results. Also I don't recommend higher tension for the crosses then the mains since it hampers the mains to snap back properly. In...

    Pacific X Feel Tour 100

hehe... she's 14! Her trainer says: "Let her learns first to send the ball quickly where she likes and then we'll learn how to do it powerfully!" And something else: "The kid could be tennis gifted or not, ambitious and hard-working or not, but nothing does matter if she obtains TE!"

    Strings for 12yo String Breaker

Traveled the same route with my daughter (14). The synthetics are not durable enough for intensive training and tournament type of play even for kids! No way Forten Sweet to stand it! Proven! It's great string but not for competitive loading. Start hybriding with poly at mains and Forten at...
