Interesting stat Nadal leads the big 3...

Only one CYGS came in the open era, so its open to debate.
  2. The_Mental_Giant

Nadal is the only Big 3 player to face NextGen in slam finales.

I thought you meant by "it costed him a RG final" that it costed him the Rg final match itself, and not that the match costed him reach/access to a new RG final... I think your phrasing was not clear. Id rather put it this way, it costed him a RG SF, because he played SF against thiem. Also...

If Two players have the same amount of points, who add weeks as 1#? clear possibility now. Rafa and Nole

then nadal better show up and win 1 round, in case djokovics plays, and reaches SF at least..

I just read about it, you are right, 1) Points earned at slam 2) points earned at m1000 3)performance in the WTF then lower level tournaments. not sure if source is correct but makes sense.

Didnt know rudolph the reender was nextgen, dude is 34, and only 3,5 years younger than fed.

Nadal might just have de-chickened himself mentally

Fed is 38, I repeated it 1000 times, quite a few players did it to 36 playing some great level.. it seems the transition between 36-37..and more from 37-38 is brutal, next slam fed will be almost 38,5 years... wont be surprised if he bombs out at r4-qf again. Nadal still has 3 or even 4 solid...

IF Djokovic loses in SF at shangai and Rafa doesnt play it they both will be tied at 9225 points for the #1, if so , who will be ranked 1? will both players add weeks at #1 simultaneously? did it ever happen in the open era?

Rafa is likely to have the longest streak at consecutive weeks #1 of his Career. calling it out.

Maybe he is still ok to play and compete, but he wont have the extra gear to go against medvedev, zverev, rublev let alone Rafa or Fed. He needs to win shangai or he is losing the #1, rafa defends basically 0 points in the end of this year.. Djokovic defends Shangai title, Paris final, WTF...

Now the more that I think about it, how important was for him to get rid of Tony and find someone who really add new things to his game. I would have loved if Rafa would have got rid of Tony and had moya again after the AO 2012.. but as people say better too late that never...

Rank the USO champions of the last decade

So basically you are telling us, the Strongest champions where at the Beggining of the decade, the average champions in the middle of the decade, and the weakest champions by the end, which includes the decline of peak level of rafole, although still being enough for them to win.

And if so? there shouldnt be a shame, djokovic himself is a beast and one of the Greatest ever. Also Rafa has more mileage, a little older, and has dominated the most physically taxing surface like no-one ever did, so let him have that plus ;)

Smart scheduling make wonders, and he can have a full year as#1 based on doing better than other players, which may not mean winning 3 or 4 slams and 5-6 m1000, but rather winning 2 slams and couple of m1000, and that being enough based on his competition doing worse, kinda of most Sampras YE1..

I think you are missing it out, I am not calling necessarely with Rafa wipping the tour, but also a high possibility of Rafa winning couple of slams, and a few tournaments outside of that, and that being enough to remain as #1 based on the irregularity and high share of different players to win...
