REVISED: Updated Open era achievment ranking system using current ATP weighting

Trick is you are possibly right but that would up my workload considerably. It’s not just 250 tournament wins - it also would be because these are 250 points or more) - slam quarter finals (360 points), 500 series runner-ups (300 points) , masters 1000 sf (360 points) , wtf winning 2 rounds...

REVISED: Updated Open era achievment ranking system using current ATP weighting

Never manipulated the scores - the points are the points. Federer isn’t on top Djokovic is. As mentioned in the first post - 250s possibly were a lot easier to win in the past evidenced by connors 250 numbers vs todays greats

REVISED: Updated Open era achievment ranking system using current ATP weighting

For the first time ever, since I started doing these rankings (an earlier thread started this in 2012), Federer is no longer on the top of the board. Djokovic back in 2012 was 10th in the list. Yes, possibly more Competitive = challenging competition. Sampras never won the tour finals undefeated in the round robin, in his 5 tournament victories.

If Djokovic wins tomorrow he could have been co year end number 1

if he wins the tour finals, he will be on 4820 points. That is exactly 2000 points short of tour leader Alcatraz’s 6820. If Wimbledon had given points this year, it would have given 2000 points, which would have put Djokovic on 6820 points Ie exactly matching alcaraz not certain he will win...

Will Nadal ever win YEC ?

Madrid hard indoor 2005, Brazil open 2013 indoor clay Were the two. It’s clear that indoor hard is his most challenging conditions. Having said that he has twice been to the wtf finals in 2010 and 2013. Nadals most challenging environment still doesn’t stop him playing at a very high level. It’s...

Winner of the 2022 YEC to earn the biggest pay cheque ($4,740,300) in tennis history!

worth noting that no winner in the history of this event had had a career high ranking of less than 3. The point is that no right Charlie’s were event winners here.

Why Did Connors Not Prioritize Playing the Masters?

It's interesting that Connors playing that 1977 Masters final could be regarded as the first time that the Masters moved to be given greater status than the WCT Finals. It's debatable, but one could argue it.

Why Did Connors Not Prioritize Playing the Masters?

Didn’t he play Newcombe in the final at Melbourne jan 1st 1975 (so the tournament was mostly in late dec 1974)
