    What level are these players?

Not by any means - only regarding the players in the videos shown. That's defintely not what i meant. Texas, Cali, FL, SC typically kick our ass at a national haha. Our women's teams at the 4.0/4.5 level though are solid though (for whatever reason).

Why is Tourna the only third-party overgrip that pros seem to use?

Yeah this is true. whatever they want to call it, it's Tourna haha. My buddy that had the racquet (along with the racquet Kokk used in his first rd Us Open win) is with Fritz in Geneva. I was super surprised at how light his actual racquet is (Fritz that is).

    What level are these players?

Yes, I know - but the level of play is what I'm watching. They wouldn't win a set in an Eastern 4.0 Sectional against other true singles players. I think they're on par with the white shirt guy in the OP - with the white shirt guy having better technique.

Why is Tourna the only third-party overgrip that pros seem to use?

Fritz uses Gut/Head hawk strings (give or take around 52#), and definitely uses Tourna overgrip. I hit with one of his frames the week after the Us Open...

    What level are these players?

No disrespect to these two guys, but this doesn't look like 4.0 to me. This also looks a bit like NY 3.5s. Again, I know it's all relative to area and player pool. I know it was discussed before, but the 4.5 team that was at nationals out of Houston in 2017 were 5.0s that fixed their rating...

Racquette Linguistics -> NTRP rating of "intermediate"/"tweener"/"advanced"/"players racquette"

While this is relatively true, it's gotta be apples to apples. Regardless of the racquet, the 3.0, 3.5, 4.0 whatever, has to enjoy what they get out of the frame (game they want to play, shots they want to achieve, can play at whatever level they are, and doesn't bother their arm). Whether it...

Racquette Linguistics -> NTRP rating of "intermediate"/"tweener"/"advanced"/"players racquette"

Interesting thread. If we're talking about racquets, isn't it subjective to the player though? I know plenty of 3.5 players male and female that prefer "players frames" type specs. Conversely I have a friend who is a rated 6.0 using what would be considered a "beginner-intermediate" style...

    What level are these players?

I saw that one too. I think it's a tough angle with the video, but definitely a close call. I thought he was hooking the guy in black on a couple a good serves, but it was a thumbs up lol

    What level are these players?

I guess the question is, what ARE they rated? haha

I sent him links to both frames - he's going to have to suck it up and start trying new frames haha. thanks!

    What level are these players?

Honestly I don't. I have to rate players at the club that I work all the time so I kind of go by a few key topics. The guy in the white is obviously more offensive (little better traditional form), etc, but also tends to not stay in the rallies long - wants to hit more outright winners...

    What level are these players?

In my area they'd be higher 3.5s, some crafty shots, but wouldn't hang with the normal 4.0s
