Offense and defense are neutral terms. People on this board need to realize that there is nothing complimentary or insulting in a player being labeled 'offensive' or 'defensive'. It is just a description of playing style with no positive or negative connotations meant to be assigned. One can...
Of course Nadal looked bad and rusty. If Nadal came out versus Murray like a world-beater and favorite for the AO, then all the haters would say he's doping b/c that's the only explanation for coming back strong after a long layoff, no? So whether he looked good or bad, Rafa's haters were...
I'm calling it even though I don't believe it. He won't win CYGS but I figured there's no harm in making this thread. If it doesn't happen, feel free to bump it and we can all have a jolly good laugh! But if by miracle it does happen, then I will call myself Merlin.
Cheers! Happy New years!
You used to be a decent poster but lately I've noticed you've become extremely trollish and vehemently anti-Nadal. I don't know whether it's some adverse reaction to MN but I wish you would return to being a level-headed, decent Djokovic poster b/c they are very scarce.
Baby Djokovic is better than any of those 3; Nishikori might still do something significant but the ship has passed for Dimitrov and Raonic. At their age their resumes are underwhelming for what was expected and does not portend multiple slams.
That's not true. The #1 and #2 seeds have equal chance of drawing the #3 or #4 seeds in the FF. #1 - #4 seeds have equal chance of drawing the #5 - #8 seeds in the QF. Being #2 will give him equal chance of winning majors as being #1 so Nadal needs to move up 1 spot in the rankings.
