No. Rocking/tilting/wobble is not normal, nor acceptable. If that is occurring, something is out of adjustment. As long as things are adjusted/tightened properly, I don't think you should have play/tilting/wobbling on an Alpha or Gamma machine. Did you see this happening on an Alpha somewhere...
