    Eye injury

Very few pros wear eye protection. I tried clear, high light transmission, tennis/golf lenses, and normal dark sunglasses. They all interfere with vision. But i'd rather play slightly worse, than spend 2 hours in the sun without sunglasses.

I started playing this new version of Operation.

    Cost of Stringing Survey

Cary Tennis Park pro shop no membership $14 labor. With membership $12.60 labor I think. I bring my own strings so not sure what they charge for strings. They mainly use Wilson and Luxilon. Labor is the same for natural gut. :p The local pros / techs train teenagers to do the job. Not sure if a...

It's now on the Yonex Website! VCORE Pro EMERALD

Moved from the 2018 VCP 310 to the 2019 green VCP 310. Only a 2 hour ground stroke bash fest; however, I like the additional comfort. Everything else felt like the usual. Strange thing to say, but shanks don't "hurt" as much. Less buzz through the arm. I tried Klip Natural Gut 15L mains @ 54 |...

Unfortunately i'm a 5'8" skinny guy. 20g more weight is too much unless I switch to a flat slower paced game. I want a stick that allows 3 straight sets of top spin game at 90%+ effort. Even my under spec TT100 310 is annoying me since I can't get the same RHS and timing vs. my stock VCP 310.

Ugh, accidentally bought a 2019 330g instead of 310g. Was looking forward to pitting the 2019 to the 2018... Tempted to string it up for test run, but I know 330g is too much. Will sell it if I cannot return it.

Yonex vcore or vcore pro or ezone 100?

VCP will have quite a bit less power and less stability, but the most control out of the three. All three are good for spin, but Vcore has the most potential. However the VCP's thin beam can cut through the air faster. Vcore is the best choice of those three. Try to demo all three and if you can...

New strings as a birthday present - appreciated?

Not pink, but rainbow colored strings. Prince Textreme Tour 100 (310) Thread

Recommended tension range is 48-58 pounds. Velocity is a multi so 55 is a good starting point. The 100P is a little lower.

Does your game suffer under the floodlights?

At night I have trouble tracking the balls and will usually hit 2 or 3 air shots. Lighting is terrible on public courts... Interesting to hear about astigmatism and low light issues. Used to wear toric lenses due to astigmatism. Just barely qualified for lasik, but chose PRK. Doesn't help my...

The 1st gen VCP310 review had no complaints about stability. But this emerald version has numerous knocks on stability. A bit odd.

Well crap. I've only been focused on the 97 310, but... Now I need to add the 97HD to my list of future racquets to try.

Why would the 97HD swing faster than the 97 310? It has the same balance, but higher weight and swingweight. Power is slightly higher and larger sweet spot.
