You are missing the point. When 2 players are playing each other on an ATP tour, they shouldn't refer to one as the British #2 and the other as the World #22 when the British player is actually world #54, much lower than his opponent. The casual viewer won't know what to make of it.

When Rafa came back from injury in 2013, Ferrer was then constantly referred to as the Spanish #1, never as the World #4. It's all politics.

I'm very interested to see how Zverev handles the pressure of "Round 1", "Just won a masters", "Next gen", "French Open" in a Best of Five format.
I hope Nando brings his best giraffe prodding forehand.

I can't see Zverev shine in a best of 5 yet. I just remember his AO struggle too good. It will depend on the draw, but if a few opponents can make him play 4-5 sets he will falter before it gets serious. Especially when the weather is hot.

He took the AO finalist to 5 sets ;)

Last year FO he lost to Thiem. Zverev took Verdasco down in 2 sets earlier this month.

Does anyone have any sources to watch the matches with French commentary? What I have currently is no commentary at all.

It feels like this tournament still hasn't got going yet. I'm hoping for a big upset at some point to really juice things up.

Same from Novak, some good things and bad things. Too inconsistent so far, story of the season up to now!

Let's hope Agassi can help bring more consistency to novaks game again.

Nice to see Jiri Vesely playing well again (hope I didn't just jinx him) with his size and build, if he really puts it all together consistently he's going to be tough to beat.

Also nice to see Andrei Rublev playing well. Schwartzman is no scrub on a clay court.

Sock is barely surviving, down 2 sets and a break. Vesely was surely the worst 1st round opponent possible for any seeded player.

I think Novak is a bit nervy today as it his his first match. Not so strange since he won last year. A few wins now and he will gain more confidence
