What’s wrong with thiem in 2019

From observing him hitting in matches he seems trying too hard to flatten his shots out but in doing so he is applying less racquet head speed. Overall his shots are less dangerous than before. He needs to play his natural game of topspin. Agree with this analysis?

LOL, less racket head speed. if he did that he wouldn't be top 1000

Dominic ‘ATP 250’ Thiem must play more 250s. This is the only way he can and will return to form.

The same thing that's been wrong with Dom in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018: pointlessly overtraining, overscheduling and keeping the same coach he had as an infant. No semblance of point construction, little variety, very predictable and mentally weak. That covers it.

That unfortunately covers it.

Actually I would say he's just not that good

He's just Thiem. I imagine he'll still do pretty well on clay but I don't expect him to ever amount to more on HC then maybe a slam SF.

I would like to see footage of him doing less topspinny forehands. Any links? I haven't watched him in a while.

In any case, since his fascination seems to be with clay, and his game seems most suited to it, he is bound to be irrelevant for half the year.

Then he needs to start winning RG. He's in his physical prime right now and Nadal has declined (yes, even on clay).
