Looking to buy a new racket- looking for suggestions

Hello,

I've been using my stick for about 6 years now and have decided to try out a new one. Just wondering what one's people suggest?

Ideally looking for something of a similar weight to my current one. Sadly the shop i'm using for racket demoing hasn't got the biggest selection but i get the cost of renting taken off the retail price of a new racket when i do decide to buy so i'll stick with them.

My game is big serve/forehand and finish points off at the net if possible.

Current stick: Babolat aero pro drive 2013 with 8g lead tape at 12 o'clock and 8g headweight inside the butt cap. Put on the scales the total weight is 337g.

What i've demo'd so far: Wilson RF97 black and white one. Really wasn't a fan of it sadly.

I've got the new babolat pure aero 2019 and the pure drive 2019 to demo the next 2 weeks.

What i also want to try:

Pure aero 2019 tour so i wouldn't have to bother with lead taping the racket.

Head touch radical

Wilson blade 16x19.

8g lead will be adding in the region of 26SW points, which should put your APD over 340

2019 PA is around 327 SW do you'd still need to add lead to get specs anywhere close

Something from the Dunlop Srixon Revo CV line? They seem similar in spirit to Babolat. I haven’t tried them, but the new CX line is very nice (but more traditional than APD-like).

I really have liked hitting with the Blade CV 16x19 for the last two years. If I hadn't hit with one of my old Pro Staffs, and gotten the old itch, I would have probably gotten more Blades in my 2019 contract, but I decided to go back to the Pro Staff 97 instead. I tried to switch to Babolat and the Pure Drive for a few years, but it never felt right to me, and I never liked the way the APD flexed...

I would try the Pure Drive Tour for sure and the Blade 98 16x19. You might also like the Head Radical Pro but some have commented on its overpowered nature so be wary of that. There aren't many others in that same category of a heavier tweener. The pure aero tour might have too high a launch angle for you, that's why I recommended the previous options, as their string patterns are a bit more closed to better simulate the aero pro drive's response. I wish you the best of luck finding what you're looking for.

Yonex V-CORE 98. It's 305g and there is a 285g version if you want even more customizable spec.

I think you'll like the new Babolat frames you're getting ready to try. The Tour version may be too heavy, but that's what you're trying them for.
