To both the Nadal fans and Roger/Djokovic fans

To All of the Nadal's fans and supporters, don't lose hope yet. This match doesn't indicate how well Nadal can play on clay as we all know and thoroughly accept it that he's the clay king. A redlining + mentally dialled Fabio Fognini (a rare combination) just caught Rafa on his off day. Believe in Bull, he'll come back stronger in Barcelona and Madrid for the Spanish clay wing ..
Monte Carlo is not always the true indicator of Rafa's clay tennis level. He has won RG even when he lost MC (2013, 2014) and he has lost RG even when he won MC (2009, 2016).
So, in short, keep calm and don't panic.

For all the Federer fans and Novak fans, please do not troll Nadal or his fanbase. Novak was losing even badly on Clay (or rather every single surface) just before 2018 Queens. And Federer, well, we all know how horrible was that patch from 2018 Indian wells to 2019 Australian Open.
Big3 are no longer in prime/peak, especially fedal. (fed being dinosaur, nad being early bloomer). They all will have off days and can lose to anyone now...

P.S. :- This thread is not just for MC19, its intended to be applicable everytime one of Fed/Nad/Djo loses and other fanbases make fun of them...

Exactly.
Only 2 players have done this in history. And even from those 2 wins, only one win came when Nadal was on absolute heights of his powers.

(No disrespect to djoko, but his 2013 loss was more impressive than 2015 win against nadal)

It's only one match, I k ow we all expect Nadal to win MC every year unless maybe Djokovic manages go GOAT but he is nearly 33 now, still will be favourite for remaining events and especially RG. Plus Fabio has beaten him before, he hlcan be a very tough player when on form

The Philippe Chatrier court has changed, Nadal will probably lose his external visual cues.

While it's a nice sentiment, I'm not sure how necessary it is. Anyone would be foolish to count Nadal out before RG. BO5 Nadal has always been a different beast

I honestly have no idea what you're talking about.
It'll matter only if the surface is gonna change into HC,Grass or blue clay. Which obviously isn't the case at the Philippe Chatrier court. So I don't think it'll affect nadal at all

I mean it's not like these guys can do this forever. I count myself as lucky that I was able to witness most of this great Fedalovic era, mixed in with a little Murray and Wawrinka. I sense there is a bit of a changing of the guard in men's tennis going on. I'm not saying that Djokovic, Nadal or even Federer are done winning slams, but I get the feeling that some of these younger players no longer play with that same intimidation and trepidation against the big three that we're used to seeing. You see more guys winning Masters 1000 events, and 500 level tournaments. I think that it won't be long before we see someone other than Rafa, Novak, or Roger win a slam.

Finally someone new has to win, that’s for sure. But what’s really bad for the "Next Gen" is the fact that they are not the ones who mainly benefit from this new (kind of) inconsistency of the Big 3, but rather guys like Bautista Agut, Kohlschreiber and Fognini.

It's not even the Nishikori, Raonic and Dimitrov generation who makes an impact now. And someone like Fognini, as much as I like him, won't win a Slam.

Next gen players simply aren't capable of outplaying big3, its just the time GOD outplaying them
Lostgen and so called next gens are the most pathetic tennis generations ever. They are simply waiting for big3 to go on wheelchair so that they can take advantage and win something. No guts and no mental stability. No reliable and consistent weapons in games as well.
Let alone big3, even old journeymen are too much for them so many times.

That's the thing I said in 2018.
The vacuum of power & dominance left by the fading away of big3 will not benefit nextgen.
Old players who have been suppressed everywhere for all these years by big3 will come out and snatch so many titles from nextgen.
