What are you liking at the moment in 2021?

I thought I ‘d post a discussion on what people here on Tennis Warehouse Forum are liking at the present ( March 2021) with what the brands are doing.
From my perspective I’m a fan of flexible, comfort oriented frames, which is why I am enthused with what Prince are making at the moment the most.
I am also feeling positive with what Pro Kennex is planning with more releases to come with the Black Ace line and new Q Tours. ( hopefully)
Other frames I am happy to see that they exist which were released recently or last year include the Tecnifibre TF 40 line, Wilson Clash line and Ultra Pro, the Angell K series, Head Pro Tour’s and Prestige mp and new brand Diadem with their Elevate series. Also good to see that Lacoste is having a go with some new stuff.
Your thoughts?

I know it can be a polarizing change, but I really like what Yonex did w/ the VDM. Granted that was implemented in 2020 w/ the EZONE, but putting it in the VCORE line made it much more palatable (no pun intended). I've been using the VCORE 98 + for over 2 years now, and while I have adjusted, using the 2021 version during the playtest was a noticeable improvement in comfort.

Now, if they'd just release the new 98 + already...

Vcore 95 2021, Regna 98 and even though I detest Wilson quality, I find myself loving the Blade Pro 16m.
I also have my coach recommending the BP as the stick I should commit to, as she has noted my comments on the feel and her observations of it forcing me to commit to swinging through the shot.

Ezone Tour for me. I’ve found it to work for me nicely with PTP, PRD, and PTS at around 53/54lbs. Starting to enjoy the Ezone series again with the new iteration of the line and introduction of the Tour 98.

I’m liking the blade, but man so many new racquets. Gravity, vcore, radical, pure drive, maybe the new blade, clash, and aero hopefully later this year! 2021 will be exciting, and 2022 will bring us Holics even more goodies!

From the newer sticks, I find the G360+ Prestige MP to be a wonderful stick to play with. Also, I’m still enjoying the Ultra Tour and the H19, as well. They all play similarly with the H19 being the softest.

Back to Fischer VT98Pro/SiC ceramic mold in 98 sq inch tapered head. Works best for me, highly doubt anything better will come along.

For 2021, I am very interested in trying the Prince Synergy 98 and Yonex VCore 95. I will also keep my eye on Pro Kennex.

I’m still using the Dunlop FX500 for the past 5 months, but I have a demo of the Prince Twistpower 100 and the Ripstick that hit very good. The Twistpower is the most intriguing atm. It’s lighter than most, but oddly flexible, stable, and maneuverable. Feels different from any racquet I’ve hit with.

Back and forth between Prestige MP and Diadem Elevate. Love the control of the PMP, but I'm serving better with the Elevate. I *feel* like I play better overall with PMP (fewer errors), but so far results have favored the Elevate. Just started playing matches again over the last couple weeks, so not enough data yet to have any firm conclusions...

I’m loving my 98+ and awaiting the new release.

Head 360+ Prestige MP was a nice racket. Great control.

I played one match with the new VCore 95 and enjoyed it.

L4. No customization.
I tried that speed mp along with the prestige mp and pro, the pro and speed I felt had the weight mostly in the throat, not enough in the hoop. If I had to switch to it, which it is a nice racquet, I would add a few grams around 3 and 9, maybe a bit at 12/2 and 10. I am loving pretty much every graphene 360+ frame I play with from Head at the moment. What is so great is how clean the feel is. Contact is smooth with all of the frames and it is comfortable but not mushy and muted. Head really made a fantastic technology and I hope they improve it as the years go by.

Yes, I hope the spiralfibers are here to stay! The feel on every 360+ I've tried has been great (Speed, Prestige, Extreme). Comfortable but not muted, like you said. You feel a nice connection to the ball.

Played a couple hours today, and the 360+ PMP is starting to nose ahead. Started to get better serves in, which was the biggest thing holding me back. A couple more days like this and the contest will be over...

Enjoying the Blade Pro 16x19, Ultra Pro 16x19, Ultra Tour, 360+ PMP, VCP 97HD, 2015 Blade 98 18x20, and Tecnifibre TFight 305 XTC.

Still haven't strung my PT 2.0 (keeping it under wraps and for a rainy day), plus I still have my 2 PT630s, interested in trying the TF40 (probably 315 version as I like more HL racquets), had a brief hit with the 360 Speed Pro and was impressed (which made me wonder about the 360+ SP), and I have a Gravity Pro that has not been strung yet (just got it).

In other news... just bought a Gamma Progression II 602FC stringer and am dipping my toes in thanks to the great support of my hitting partner and fellow TT member @Grieeegoorr (y)

Update: as of April/ May 2021...

Still enjoying the racquets from above... now I have 2 G360+ SPs (they play great and the only areas I need to dial in are my serving and more experimentation with strings and tension), 2 G360+ GPs (I like the feel when hitting more with this racquet than the SPs and I think I had better success on serve... but I need to play more with both).

I have acquired a Yonex VCORE 95 (2018), but have not had a chance to string it up yet (combination of playing with the above-mentioned racquets, injury, and some unwellness)... but looking forward to trying it out.

Frustratingly, the stringer still has not arrived from the US... delayed by another month... hopefully will come by mid-June.

I agree with most of this. I played with Phantom Pro 100s before switching to the Clash 98. I'm very tempted to test the new Princes, but don't want to give up what the Clash gives me on serve.

Have been liking the Slazenger Hardcourt balls. Felt that doesn't fluff up too much (although you get a face full when new) and last a good while too.

Long story . What this is under the paint is a Estusa pro van tech Boris Becker glm racket . Think of it as a lighter weight puma super racket with the flex of a Rossignol f200 . And that’s what it plays like ..
I’ll post the next pic of what the racket looks like in its original paint

Yeah man it’s so surprising to me that manufactures aren’t putting out more lighter flexy comfort frames that aren’t gramma sticks .
Babolat here me on this .. throw us a 100 sq midplus 10 oz and some change weight with a flex of 40-45 RA and just see what happens.its so funny ...
I used to have these same conversations at Wilson advisory staff member meetings..
I was like a broken record .. all I said was just give us a wilson surge frame make it wicked super flexible and make it light ... y’all will make coin ....
people laughed and pointed what a old school bafoon I was .....
Then all the sudden it came to me like this “ joey , it’s like nothing you’ve ever felt or dreamt of its a new proprietary system .. it’s a revolution!
It’s ....ITS ITS ITS

. THE CLASH...,

after one hit .. I thought .. yay .. they listened.. at least a little...........

@Dino Lagaffe i know my tennis celebrity racquet afficiando hero mr Dino, had or may still have one of these as well!
Dino ? What do you think of the Estusa pro van Glm ?
did you ever get the chance to put it on “ the rack” for specs ?!

This racquet STOPPED me from even looking at other racquets, like finding my soul mate, who also happens to be stunning :)
Same. I've sold everything else in my bag except these and my Elevate (backup/for the slow days when I need help with power and spin). Don't think I'll seriously consider switching to anything that isn't foam-filled now; there's something addictive about hitting a stick that isn't hollow. Only racket I'd consider buying now is another UP16. Or maybe a Diadem Nova if I need a tweener for any reason. I've been ruined

Would love if Volkl could remake a few frames with this mould. I wonder if Puma could regather the motivation to make a play in the tennis market,
You and me both . My fave mold of volkl was the TR 25. It’s the thin beam v throat stick that Petr Korda used . I wanted to use that racket for so long .. but can’t find em .. so I decided to make my own tr 25’s using the puma molds ... not too shabby !

I'm loving my new UP 16x19s right now. So comfortable to play, and so well rounded. I'm still working with dialing the lead in a little bit but I think they're about where I like them right now.

I'm trying to think of what UP is short for. What racket are you talking about here? I feel like I'm falling until a "what's up" joke here but genuinely curious lol.
