I have played with Kirschbaum PL II a few years back and it's not bad string, but there are better string out there in my opinion.
PL II have good playing characteristic when fresh, but i didn't like sudden drop of performance after a few hours. I like Yonex PTP better,
it is very balanced string without any glaring weakness and although there is also some drop in tension over time,
for some reason string performs very similary thorough his lifetime.
Lastly i tried Kirscbaum PL X recently and it is very similar to Yonex PTP in terms of control, spin and power, (PLX is maybe a slightly more powerfull).
Most notable difference is in feel, Yonex is muted while PLX have more direct crispier feel.
In summary for me it is PLX = PTP > PLII for both 1.25 and 1.20 string gauge.

-another vote for tec.ice-code
-i think its very slick and slightly crisp, but not stiff
-i find that ice code works well in OPEN pattern racquets
-once you have a "feel good" stick ,(correct string for raket, correct tension for string/raket) it allows you to swing away and thusly get the spin you want
-such racquets as w.blades, w.burns, w.clash, y.ezones, b.pa etc....

-another good one, slightly crisper, more durable, tec.RED-CODE (old time favorite)

What tension did you try plx at?

I am a big fan of prince round polys like XC and XP but recently strung one of my rackets with MSV Co-Focus 1.23 . Surprisingly the feel of the racket has improved. Maybe it’s a honeymoon period after 1 hit but time will tell.
FYI, I only use it in crosses with gut mains or Premier Control mains.

My top

Yonex PTP black/graphite. Blue is really good too. Always good in a full bed
Kirschbaum Max Power...also awesome in a hybrid. Excellent tension maintenance.
Luxilon 4G in a hybrid with gut

Haven't gelled with BHBZ and did not really care for Cream yet until I find the right hybrid setup.

Out of curiosity, what has been your experience with the differences in blue and graphite PTP?

Blue has a little more pop to it and the strings themselves are really slick. Graphite has a slightly rougher texture and bites the ball, a little deader. Both are excellent. Differences are slight and probably more placebo than anything
