If a mod could change this so that results could be viewable without voting it would be much appreciated. That way non Federer fans could see the results without voting. Thanks.

That’s like asking whether I’d rather be beheaded or burned alive.

Watching either one of them is a chore and is quite boring

Watching Fed choke yet another epic slam match he's supposed to win is like getting your balls squashed in a bench vice...

You'd probably survive but wish you didn't have to and live with the consequences...

Djokovic. He is more complete player. More versatile, more dominant and more consistent than Nadal who really has got all round records. I don't want someone who has won 66% titles on Clay go on to become Slam leader.
As if you care about tennis or something. You care about Nadal being the one who stopped prime Federer from winning absolutely everything, and actually showed that Federer can also be vulnerable. Reminds me of those "Federer fans" who suddenly became big Djokovic fans in 2011.

Funny how Nadal's all time records on clay are somehow used against him by haters.

Who do you prefer and why?
I like them both at this point. Really appreciate Novak for his resilience and sticking to his guns and yet a “not complaining attitude” about stuff after the AO debacle.

But all in all I still prefer Rafa’s general demeanor as a competitor and rep of the game.

So he’s still my active fave now that Fed’s hung up the raquet.

Djokovic also stopped Federer. In fact he has given us most heartbreaking loss.

Interesting perspective. No question Novak is the more complete and greater player. I just interpreted the question as, "who do you prefer?"

Nadal. Nadal and Federer have a pretty good relationship, considering that Nadal came along and ended some of Federer's incredible streaks. This is the opposite of McEnroe and Lendl back in the day. Those two guys hated each other.

Nadal ended several of Peak Fed's streaks, including 65 straight wins on grass, 56 straight wins on hard courts, 237 consecutive weeks at 1, 5 straight Wimbledon titles, , 4 straight years of YE #1(this likely hits 7 straight with no Nadal). Prime Fed had his hands entirely full with Nadal.

I have nothing against Djoker, other than passing or matching many of Federer's key records. I'm almost over it already. He earned it fair and square. But I want Nadal to get that slam record. Had Djoker come up ahead of time, I might think differently. That's just the way it is. As I said, I really don't have anything against Djoker. He just happened to seriously join the WAR much later in the game. And when we already have our favorites, it's tough to switch gears. And when I went to the US Open a few times, I made sure to watch Djokovic play. You have to. He's unique. He's so fast, that he makes it sound like a car burning rubber when he's on hard courts. It's something that I had to see live. And it's something that my friends who weren't as familiar with tennis had to see themselves.

Nadal two weeks ago:
My greatest rival is Novak Djokovic.

Except that Federer was far past his prime in most of these losses, and should have never even reached the final. Federer himself said correctly that Wimbledon 2008 was his most heartbreaking loss.

If Federer Novak relationship wasn't bad early on , it would be very easy for Federer fans to back Djokovic simply because Djokovic is an all surface player just like Federer is , If Fed was king of consistency (310) then Djokovic the the prince ( 374) .
Both are among greatest indoors players .
Federer Nadal friendship tilt the scale in favour of Nadal .
But there are some amazing Fed fans who like Novak because of his all court mastery just like Fed .

Federer himself likes and respects Nadal and their families seem to get along as well. They both brought unique and special skills that made the game more popular.

Djokovic is right up there in terms of results, but entirely different as a person, his outlook and beliefs. There are no similarities with fedal. You also get the srdjan and family show. There's friction and dislike of fedal that's managed outwardly by Novak knowing there's nothing to gain with playing out in the media. But you'd think internally they all subscribe to it to some extent.

We have been humiliated by Djokovic over and over and over for almost 10 years to the very end (except from some irrelevant mickey mouse matches), including on grass, which is supposed to be Federer's best surface. How is that even debatable?

Nadal two weeks ago:

Well, that doesn’t erase what Nadal said at Laver about Federer - the “most important rival” of his career and “probably the most important p in the history of our sport” - both quotes at the LC presser.

But once Fed retires, Nadal only has one real current rival left. That’s Novak.

So - it all pans out.

Fed in his prime owned Novak and Rafa was absent in Fed's prime on Fed's best surfaces. So who cares? Neither is the answer. Fed is still the GOAT. No other tennis player had the variety and game that spanned the eras Fed did.

I'm a bit different. I couldn't jump to Nadal's camp, right after he handed so many heartbreaking loss to Fed. OTOH, Fed loss to Novak can be attributed to age. There are no similarities in playing style among the 3, still FEDAL couldn't be more different

Lol love the loyalty to Fed all be it deeply misplaced.

Fed is the GOAT only in style of play but where it really matters he is 3rd of the big 3

It shouldn't be odd to see loyalty to Fed when the thread specifically solicited Fed fans for their opinion. You must be lost wading in here.

And Federer will remember as a modern pioneer on and off the court
