Was Sampras one of the most boring Athletes Of All Time ?

I don't know why but most people stick to the very first impression of what they may have read or seen somewhere : 2 lines here and a 2 min. video there. In tennis, McEnroe was an idiot, Borg as cold as ice, Lendl a robot from the East, Wilander a boring baseliner, Agassi the guy with the...

Was Sampras one of the most boring Athletes Of All Time ?

Sampras boring?? Ahah I had a good laugh when reading this (already old) thread, thanks for this. Sampras as a player is 100% less boring than 101% of the field today. There are dozen of videos on YouTube where you can watch him in action. Ahah boring… good one.

Is there any hope Pacific tennis rackets will return?

I saw the X Force new PJ in another thread and I have to admit that it's gorgeous. I wish they could sell more and have a SERIOUS top player or two, it would help (like people started to get interested in TF just because Medvedev had more wins last year).

    Yep, fully agree.

Is there any hope Pacific tennis rackets will return?

I have one X Pro Tour 97 (and some Fischer…). I know that some won't agree but I don't think they are quite the same. Definitely close but not identical. I agree with Alex78 when he says that the Pacific has a more modern feel so all in all it's all a matter of what you may prefer or not. I do...

Has Sergio Tacchini exited tennis market?

Thanks for sharing. Saw it actually a few weeks ago looking for "new old" stuff. There are some McEnroe shirts - you have that 1984 "FO final" outfit  and they look good but nothing from Mats' apparel (yet).

    Yes… Miss it. A flying DeLorean… anyone ??

Has Sergio Tacchini exited tennis market?

If Tacchini reissued one or several of Mats' apparels (and with the same quality as 30 years ago), I'd definitely buy all of them. I still have the ones that I bought back then but they "look old" now. Too bad as I still think that their design is just perfect. Two-three years ago I was offered...

Has Sergio Tacchini exited tennis market?

Also Ellesse for a short period of time in 1991 and wore Reebok during the last few months of his pro career... But those Tacchini shirts were all amazing.

    Interview with Mats Wilander

Thanks for sharing. Mats is always great to hear. The article talks about an interview that has been aired last week. Does anyone know if there's a possibility of a rebroadcast with English subtitles or something like that? A few years ago, I'd say seven or eight years ago, the Swedish TV...

Best items you found at thrift stores (Goodwill)?

 Not that I don't believe you but I never heard of a heavier Vacuum Pro. I know that there was a 320 grammes version made around 1998 if I'm not mistaken but 330 grammes seems heavy enough. Any link maybe ? EDIT : Mmm, got it :cool...

Best items you found at thrift stores (Goodwill)?

Well, at that time even Fischer had a tolerance of +/- 6-7 grammes. It was even written on their frames. They corrected this a few years later with higher CQ and, even later, with their "no tolerance" thing : each frame identical. Are you sure there's no leather behind what seems to be an...

    Tim Henman Slazenger

Interesting. Never noticed that the Pro Braided was a PS 6.1 clone . Hit with hit a couple of times almost twenty years ago and I quite liked it. Shocked to read that the RA was 75 as it seemed pretty soft to my arm, at least in my recollection.
