    Has string design stagnated?

Same strings with different tension combinations adds to the confusion. For me the decision is around least to most arm pain. The high end ones(RPM blast, LXN, ..) hardly hold tension or feel beyond 2 hrs of hitting. I deeper I go into researching, the more disappointed I get. Sent from my...

    Artengo TA930 Monofilament

Has anyone tried the Artengo TA930 strings? I tried them at 52lbs tension and was pleasantly surprised by the soft feel. It also held tension pretty good. Its at the ~$8 price point. With so many brands out there, wanted to check opinion of others. Does anyone know who manufactures for them...

Why did you switch to Yonex?

You are right about the lead, I did try tungsten but a lot of it is required and its almost 10x cost. Also, 1gm of tungsten was concentrated to 1 inch whereas 1gm of lead was 4 inches so I was able to spread the weight better. Its really because of lack of options. More than lead, its the...

Why did you switch to Yonex?

Its indeed thin! Aftermarket ones are thicker for sure. Its alright for me, hit yesterday and could feel the difference in my game. I was able to grip better. Downside - it will wear down faster since there is minimal cushion. Was thinking of sanding the base material down a little to make...

Why did you switch to Yonex?

Not till today. I took out the stock grip and replaced with 2 overgrips(wilson sensation) to lower the grip size. Yet to try this setup. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Why did you switch to Yonex?

Got a VCP 310 2019 and felt my volleys, serve improved. Had to adjust my baseline ground strokes for depth since it felt like a low powered racket. I have a single handed backhand and that is my current issue area with this racquet. The grip size I prefer is 4 1/4 but could only find 4 3/8...

Help with motivation and staying focused?

Very common with multiple variable factors such as weather, equipment, audience, your mindfulness and your opponent. There are control points that you command and then others that you don’t. Suggested regime to keep the focus- 1. Have a pre-game routine. Warm up, your pep-up music, something...

straight arm fh vs. bent arm fh

Well mostly the blame is put on Stiff Guts / Stiff Frame / Racket Stability / Ball centering .... I say the mechanics of the game demand a different kind of training. A kind of training that requires a Bio Mechanic's expertise.

Neck / Wrist / Lower Back pain

Thanks Surion! This is helpful, I reckon that a daily fitness routine is important, now that im 31. What do you mean by unblocking ? I did go to a Physio but I guess I need to go to someone who can diagnose better. I did take some time off to heal my shoulder and it is fit now, though I avoid...

So, Babolats are such "arm, shoulder, breakers" why aren't we seeing these issues on

be below 50lbs for strings and you should be fine, all racquets are the same, all racquets are good, all racquets are bad. Keep coffee powder on your tongue before a hitting session, get alert, watch the ball carefully, swing consistent and contact the ball correctly. This is basic tennis...

Does a racquet improve after 20-30 hrs of hitting?

By 20 stringings you are equating it to around 200Hrs of play ? ok, thats obvious, strings=elasticity, grommets=deformation of plastics, what about the metal/material of the frame? And i'm not only suggesting that it deteriorates, I'm assessing the enhancement it achieves over time..
