UTR is now including mixed doubles

Seems to be a recent addition. Maybe it's a small sample size or a new algorithm, but the numbers look wildly off so far.

Exercises that maximise weight loss but also beneficial for tennis

Long distance running doesn't really translate to tennis (other than maybe building stamina). Look into HIIT and weight training (in particular, the olympic lifts: http://www.mattspoint.com/blog/weightlifting-movements-tennis)

    tennisrecord.com messed up?

For me, it looks like they added some 2020 results but have not updated with the last couple matches from the end of 2019. Weird.

First USTA 8.0 match of the year

For any of the doubters. The guy in orange was on a 40+ 4.0 team that went to Nationals in 2018. He went 7-0 in the playoffs without dropping a set. There are many ways to win in tennis. Sectionals Singles: 6-2, 6-3 Doubles: 6-0, 7-6; 6-3, 6-0 Nationals Singles: 6-3, 6-1; 6-4, 6-1; 6-1, 6-0...

    Noah Rubin

This might be an unpopular opinion, but I cannot stand Noah Rubin. While I appreciate him advocating for better pay at the lower levels, I'm sick of the "tennis is dead" talk. I don't know, I feel like he comes off arrogant and entitled. /rant

    Dispute over water break

Yeah, I'm pretty surprised he was allowed to play. I'm sure there are two sides to every story, but I think would've been a good idea on his part and USTA to let the situation get sorted out first.

    Dispute over water break

Hopefully he is banned from USTA after this. He's been in a league I'm in the past few years. Luckily, I've never had to play him but heard from others who have that it is an unpleasant experience.

4.0/4.5 Hitting Partner in Las Cruces, NM?

I’m an out of towner working on a project at White Sands and will be traveling here frequently over the next few years. Looking for a hitting partner when I’m in town. I’m a 4.0/4.5 level player. I stopped by the NMSU tennis center and did some drills on a previous trip, but found it to be...

    Tennis Club Recommendations in NOVA

E-mail one of the league coordinators: https://www.usta.com/en/home/play/adult-tennis/programs/midatlantic/usta-mid-atlantic-league-calendar.html#NOVA. NOVA/DC are your best bets. The 18 & Over season is halfway through so you might be too late to join for the spring season, but there are other...

"I joined a D.C. tennis league thinking I’d make a few friends. But this was no social club.."

The league he is talking about is not a USTA league. It's a local "flex" league. There are several these in the DC area. There is some overlap between them and USTA, but for the most part I'd say more people play/prefer USTA here.

Essential tennis NTRP 5.0 Tennis match play

The point @1:44 is pretty good. I think Scott has a nice backhand. His serve seems a little off. Like he's hitting it on the way down and he's a little over-rotated? Ian's game might not look pretty, but I think he's crafty player who gets to a lot of balls (and has a tricky left serve on top of...

The serve is not a throwing motion

When this guy first started doing YouTube videos, I thought they were great. But it's clear that he's about the clickbait now. Also, all of his strokes look clunky and inefficient. I'm not saying he's not a high level player/coach, but his understanding of the technique is a bit flawed...

He has certainly changed his right arm take back over the years. I swear I saw a video of him at one point where he was using a very abbreviated take back similar to Roddick. https://v.redd.it/1eml0bg8efl21/DASH_1080?source=fallback (Current serve) Here are some other good videos of his...
