    sent you an email mate

Comfort, how important is it to you ?

Most important. Vcore 95... Its comfortable, its a Yonex, has a 95sq head, comes in the best-of-both-worlds string pattern of 16x20. What else can a ohbh attacking player ask for? I also gut hybrid it on low tension.

    Footwork Question

Small steps to set up are key, always if possible run around to hit a forehand and put your body on the ball for that winner exaggerating the forward motion.

Playing style as you age and get busy

Oh mate, just 40? Get back in shape and grind those kids off the court. Over here theres even some 50 year old clay court grinders that can cause plenty trouble.

What % of your tennis budget is spent on lessons.

Monthly club fee at 65 and playing on other courts at 10ish per hour, balls, 2 pairs of shoes yearly, racket changes, natural gut hybrid (at 25 euros for tonic+ which lasts me a month when it isn't too damp), stringing at 8 per job, tennis tv at 100 per year. I also go to ATP tournaments, this...

    ~1200 a year so about 22ish %

Price of 1h tennis lesson in your part of the world?

20 to 35 per hour for regular coaches in Spain. Don't know about the posh clubs though, like the one where the Barcelona ATP500 is hosted. I suspect that depending on who coaches you it can go up to 60ish.

VCORE PRO HD vs VCORE 95

I would say get rid of the leather grip for something lighter that will make the racket more head heavy as it already is very head light stock. That'll sort you for power. Oh and a gut/poly hybrid.

Vid of two guys at a rec tournament, guess their level

We can all learn a thing or two from the pusher. I meant more wall mode djokovic like, not attacking balls, just placing them and using margins. Feds game is too complicated to model yourself on.

Vid of two guys at a rec tournament, guess their level

You'll get there and could do sooner if you change your mindset. Train not to hit winners but not to miss a shot. Become a pusher for a while, once you nailed that to the point where you are confident that not even a pusher can beat you at pushing, then you start bringing attacking shots into...

Vid of two guys at a rec tournament, guess their level

Those guys look pretty average, could be hard work on an off day, but still very beatable. To echo @34n its just a matter of getting used to playing against these guys, then you'll be beating them even on off days, 2 years of leagues and tournaments is spot on. You got to get your match...

Post videos of yourself playing well.

Ah yeah, shes tiny but as you can see her technique is great. Its usually the case with people i hit with that were taught at a young age.

Ex junior, solid to hit with and shes just getting back after giving birth 10 months ago. No flip? Don't know what you mean mate, im pretty stiff on my wrist, fell on it on a hard court 5 years ago and its a mess. I wear a wrist support underneath the wrist band.

Heres some for you from today. 85% humidity, the ball was flying out there after 2 hours of grinding.

Post videos of yourself playing well.

Today's slow feet training day, still feeling the legs from the gym a couple of days ago, or maybe its fatherhood? Haven't had a whole night sleep in 6 months... could barely hit a proper down the line, must be getting old now... Until 30 seconds the camera view is too high, after that its all...

When was the last time you changed racquets and why?

RF97 > VCP97310 > UT > VC95 I started using the RF97 by chance really, after Fed won the AO17 I picked one up second hand to have as a collection item on the wall. Went to hit with it before hanging it and liked it from the first hit. A while after I started taking lessons for the first time in...

One handed backhand players, favorite/best rackets?

Thats about the balance and weight I like for the one hander, any more head light and I loose depth. Got the Vcore95 leaded with 2 grams at 3, 9 and 12 each and its fantastic on that wing.

One handed backhand players, favorite/best rackets?

I just put the same treatment on the VC95 bar lead under the cap and it came alive. Really recommend this frame for those one handers.

    Head Gravity

315g unstrung is a bit steep for the european clay courts, the MP allows room for modification. In any case it felt solid but nothing extraordinary really, just like the Yonex VCORE Pro which everyone was raving on about here at launch. Oh and Graphene will still cause people problems, my...

    Head Gravity

Hit with the MP for a bit last night. Didn't find it that great as some people mention, yes it's got good stability, manouverable and gives good depth, but it isn't as comfortable as my current SV95. Head shape is strange but its similar to the Extremes and it works on the OHBH.

To all (happy) owners of VCore 95!

Yonex poly tour spin and poly tour pro. I use Tonic+ on the mains and YPTP 1.20 on the crosses on that frame and its working fine and I agree with you on the OHBH with this frame.

To all (happy) owners of VCore 95!

Settled for this frame after a year and a bit of UT. Messed about with the touch rad but ultimately was not able to control it and did not feel confident, plus i get less wrist pain from playing with the vc95. My 1hbh was also missing a Yonex big time. As of now stock with gut/poly hybrid of...

    Head Gravity

Anyone compare the Gravity MP to the Graphene Touch Radical MP? @HitTheBall thanks for the comparison with the UT, I was playing with that before for almost a year and had to work real hard with it but got the best match results I've had with it. It was my first 18x20 but I'd rather stay away...

The truth about racquet material innovation

Ideally I'd like something as powerful as the Radical if not a bit more and muted of course. Not too keen on the Clashype and the new Gravity line as it doesn't seem yo provide enough power. Thanks for the suggestions though.

The truth about racquet material innovation

Interesting read but its nothing new on how our beloved racket companies make up some nonsense to continue the consumerism wheel. I'm with the OP though I currently use Graphene Touch solely because its muted af and my hand and wrist very much like it. If there were better alternatives I'd love...
