Tourna Big Hitter Silver 7 Tour

This info may be buried in a thread here somewhere but... Can someone with significant experience with each compare BHS7T to Tour Bite? I'm using Tour Bite 1.25 now but want to try BHS7T 1.25. Unfortunately there is no data for 7ST 1.25 in the TWU compare strings tool at the moment . Also...

String to pair with Head Graphene 360+ Prestige Pro

The Prestige Pro seems to elicit either a love or hate reaction. I'm one of the lovers of this racket...including the sound it makes. I also use a full bed of poly with it (either Tour Bite or Hyper G, 48 & 52 lbs. respectively). This racket packs plenty of punch with a bed of full poly so...

Wilson Pro Staff RF97 Autograph Black/White Racquet, 3/8

Back in late April I took a chance and bought this racket from TW without demoing it...and after an hour of court time I found it was simply too much for me to handle at this point. The racket looks basically new as it had head tape and grip tape on it for the entire session I hit with it. I had...

New Version of Babolat Pure Strike VS Tour coming in 2020?

Does anyone know if a new Babolat PS VS Tour (same mold/basic specs) will be launched in 2020? I'm still using my old Pure Storm Tour GT's from 2011 (which I still love) and two have been strung over 50 times each so they are getting a bit tired. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Still available. I've had a few lowball offers, which I ignored but I am now lowering the price down to $135 SHIPPED.

5.0 Players, what are your strings of choice?

I play out of Mt. Pleasant...mostly MP Rec and Snee...and FWIW... I'm no longer a "real" 5.0. I rated down to 4.5 when I hit 50y. Now that I'm in my late 50's I like a string with a little extra controllable pop like VCT16. Hyper G 1.25 also plays well but I just like the feel and sound of...

5.0 Players, what are your strings of choice?

I like crisp feeling poly strings that have great ball pocketing.... and when strung at the right tension (for me) VCT16 is perfect for my all court game. FWIW...I tried VCT17 and it was not nearly as good. I've used almost all top rated poly strings and they are either too dull and plastic...

5.0 Players, what are your strings of choice?

Another Cyclone Tour 16 user from Charleston here... aging out of 5.0 these days :) . I string my Pure Storm Tour GT's with a full bed of VCT16 at 55 and love it. Yes it's soft and has a little extra pop but I have no problem controlling my shots with it even after it's lost a fair amount of...

    RF97 vs Gravity Pro

Night and day. As mentioned above...the RF97 is very stiff and swings way heavier. The G Pro is definitely flexier near the throat and swings much lighter.

    [Help Please] Current Hyper-G user...

Why not try a full bed of 1.20 version of the Hyper-G at the same tension??? I did that just to see how it felt in my Prestige Pro's. I liked it a lot. It felt a bit softer and more powerful than the 1.25 version but with similar control. As hard as I try I can't find a better string for my...

Pro Staff RF 97 Autograph Cracking at the lower string bed?

OP...who strung the rackets? I've seen cracks in that area on frames that were not secure in a stringing machine while being strung. Just a thought. I highly doubt the racket spontaneously cracked without significant forces being applied at some point.

    Yonex VCORE Pro 97 (310)

You can end your misery by checking out flea bay. Plenty of PST's there. I've still got my original 3 frames from 2012 that I play and if not for the woofer grommets it might be the perfect racket (for me).

    Switching from Pure storm tour

OP...I was in the same boat a year or so ago. I tried several rackets after the PST (including several of the ones listed above and others) but nothing felt as good in my hand. Some rackets were better on serve, some were more powerful, some were more control oriented, but none of them could...

Different tensions on mains vs. crosses in a full poly set up (18x20)?

My poor thread got quasi-hijacked several times... but back to the original topic....as an update. I tried Hyper G 1.25 at 50/48 as promised in my CV Blade 18x20 and absolutely love it in this racket. I don't remember the last time when I guessed at a string/tension setting that I got right...

    Volkl Cyclone Tour 18

I've tried both in a FB and TBH...this particular string is just way too soft, too powerful, and looses tension way too fast in the 18g version. I was a long time VCT 16g user (FB Prestige Pro at 50) and that string is wonderful. The red somehow feels a little softer to me. In the 18g I...

Different tensions on mains vs. crosses in a full poly set up (18x20)?

When I used to do hybrid set ups I would always have different tensions for the mains (usually a stiff poly like Hurricane Tour 16) and a multi in the crosses (usually Addiction) but now that I'm using only full poly beds I'm not sure if there's any benefit to having different tensions. I've...

Can Rackets be broken by the person stringing it?

LOL...I'm physically laughing at your post as I type this. If this is not a funny troll post then so be it. Clearly this is a sensitive area for you since it wasn't even your thread. Every reply has pretty much agreed that the OP's racket appears to have been beaten up prior to the collapse...

Stringing report from an open level tournament

If the players are used to constant pull tensions and that's what you used then it's a not an issue but if not...they would have been unhappy with the results. I guess most clubs have constant pull machines these days but a few years ago I always made sure to ask what stringer was being used and...

Hyper G 1.20 tension in CV Blade 18x20

Thanks but you're kind of jacking my thread here. I'd rather keep this thread about suggested tensions for an all poly string bed. Introducing a hybrid string set up comparison into this just confuses things.

Hyper G 1.20 tension in CV Blade 18x20

Thanks, this is very helpful and obviously supports what I was thinking. Since I also ordered some HG 1.25 I might try that first just to reduce the variables. I'll try this string at 51/49 since it's a bit softer than Team 1.25.

    Stanford Men

Personally I think Fawcett and Fomba would have been a better combination in dubs. Geller has a lot of weapons but volleying is not one of them.
