    Wilson Ultra Tour (Monfils)

If yours is 309 grams and 4 pts HL with a 300 SW I guess you might be lucky. You only would need to put a leather grip with overgrip on it in order to achieve a 6 (or 7) pts balance. Besides that you can add lead in the hoop if you need more power if possible. Two of my (matched by the...

Over 50 Using Control Racquet effectively

Actually me too. I guess an (customized) UT is the closest option at the moment. Foam filled and a 97 sq inch head size and a similar feel as the TC95. It only needs a lot more weight before it comes alive. In stock condition the UT is just an anemic frame. Yesterday I also noticed the Prince...

Over 50 Using Control Racquet effectively

As I own both TC95 18m and the K7 Lime I can tell that they feel very different. The K7 Lime is indeed easier to play with than the TC95 but it has more a muted feel (that I don't like as much).

Curious about your experience with the UT. Especially compared to the TC95 18x20.

    2020 Wilson Ultra

I guess you're correct. Lead at 12 and/or at 10 and 2 will be a good option with the UT.

As far as I know they are exactly the same so I would take the risk and purchase the Ultra Pro V3 if you love the UT. Concerning the paint quality I can't tell if the v3 one has been improved.

Wilson Blade 18x20 but with more spin

Maybe the Pro Kennex Q+ Tour Pro 315 is a good option: https://www.tennis-warehouse.com/ProKennex_Ki_Q_Tour_Pro_315/descpageRCPK-PK15TP.html

I also did this with my TC95. Especially this improves my service.

Thanks Paul. A few years ago I played with the TC95 18x20 (that I still own) and after that I committed to the TC97 18x20 for a year. However I always preferred the feel of the TC95 and the UT resembles that in my opinion. As I used to play on artificial grass courts the TC95 16x19 may be more...

I complete agree. Tennis is such a complicated game that involves many more aspects than only a solid technique.

I forgot to mention the PC600 to my list (besides the Ultra Tour and TC95). Since a long time ago I hit with my PC600 last weekend and I love that awesome feel and control. Just an extension of my arm.

Exactly my experience with the TC95 18x20 that I played with a few years. The TC95 is still my favourite Angell. However I was looking for a bit more forgiveness like you and then I found the Ultra Tour. Similar feel as the TC95 . Probably because they are both foam filled and have a similar flex.

Very good advice! I also am tempted to buy the PT2.0 but then I recall myself that: I purchased 3 Wilson Ultra Tours last year I love its feel best of every frame I tried before I invested a lot of efforts in customizing with lead and obtaining very nice (Oehms Premium) leather grips I guess I...

Yeah,... Hitting against the wall is different than on the courts. You better start slowly and a little nearby the wall like you start hitting within the service boxes. Then you can increase the velocity gradually when you've got the rythm. You also need to pay attention on an early preparation...

Thanks and it does play solid! Last year I bought a matched pair with the following specs unstrung (before I customized them further): 302.2 grams - 279,5 SW - 31.35 cm balance.
