    Racquet for my dad

Oh Yikes! I thought it said 60 years old. Yeah, the dr 98+ would not be a good choice, as it would be pretty hard to swing. As for Visual Acuity, I cannot speak for that - I still have 56 years to go till that age.

    Racquet for my dad

Sidenote: I may be slightly biased, as is given by my username, however, honestly, I truly think the DR is the best fit.

    Racquet for my dad

For arm injuries, the Yonex DR 98 (NOT the new Ezone 98), is great. It has classic touch and control, while combining modern power. It is a very soft, plush, and relatively powerful racquet. As for arm injuries, do not order a babolat, as it is not good for arms. I don't have much experience...

Does countervail actually do anything to reduce racquet vibration?

I also agree that countervail is more marketing than anything useful. I have hit with both the 2015 and the CV blade, and I feel like the same effect could be produced by using a dampener. In fact, I think the dampening is too strong because it takes away the majority of the feel.

Live by the Blade...Die by the Blade...

I like the Yonex's feel much more than the blade. The blade feels... funky? I never seemed to like any wilson racquet, as they all feel kind of "high pitched vibration-y". Also, Wilson's quality, has been going south since the N series. The "velvet" soft touch paint on the blade, while I must...

Lucas Pouille getting insane spin from dense string pattern

Exactly. The racquet doesn't matter too much, its the technique. Sure, racquets such as spin effect racquets boost your spin, but that's only if you have proper mechanics (i.e not a linear motion forehand).

    Yonex VCORE SV

This racquet seems to be very similar to the new Ezone 98, somehow. @tomato123 if you look on tennis warehouse used, you can find xi 98s for like 69.99 dollars sometimes.
