    Block a Youtube channel

Probably this is what make Rubens so angry at Feel Tennis. Now when I start watching a video and it begins with grip and 60 seconds explaining how exactly the grip looks like I also get irritated. But some time ago I did not know the grip either.

I will use the "tennis instruction serve -Jeff -Salzenstein" in the future. :) Hate his blah, blah, blah instructions either. :) I will try to explain you why many people love Feel Tennis videos. The guy talks language that is understandable to novices. Jeff and Performance Plus Tennis are...

Why do you hate him so much? I am novice in tennis, 3.0/3.5 and find his videos very interesting, he talks "our language" (for novices). Could you point at someone on youtube who is worth attention? Thank you.

    Head Velocity

Thank you for answer. Do you have any better racquet ideas for me? Thought that it is pretty soft, could be more headlight, weight is ok.

    Head Velocity

Hello guys and thank you for this awesome thread. I am 40 years old, 3.0-3.5 player with inconsistent technique, willing to get back to tennis. Currently play with Blade 2015 98 18x20 strung with some old Head poly at 46-44 (does not feel soft for me). Want to move to Head Velocity. I like soft...

Adults that taught themselves (or teach others) the serve: How did you do it?

Watch serve videos by Tomaz Mencinger, they are posted above. If you like this guy than you will love his paid serve course. If you live in US then it's price is like 1 lesson from a coach, but the value will be much bigger. Personally, Tomaz is my favorite coach.

    Slinger tennis ball machine

:) Voltage does not have anything related to battery weight or motor power. :) I guess, they just can't make it light enough so they just cut down the features.

    Ball machines in the UK?

Try finding a freight forwarding company to get Silent Partner shipped to US and then to UK.

Best Ball Machine (Feature-rich and compact)

Nothing wrong with Smart. It is awesome machine with highest bang for the buck ratio if purchased on eday. Lobsters are fantastic machines, but are expensive.

Best Ball Machine (Feature-rich and compact)

This is a very strange list. It looks like a bunch of referral links to Amazon to get 5% off the purchase. They reviewed a Lobster Grand 4 and they said that negative point of it was "Customer support is very slow ". Dude, I talked to Curtis from Lobster via email, he replied instantly. Read...

    Slinger tennis ball machine

Well, the most heavy part in tennis ball machine are motors. You can't make them light and keep power level. You can't make the battery light. You either make it very small or it is still that heavy.

    Slinger tennis ball machine

What is the point of SLinger ball machine? That is it portable and fits in a backpack? If you look and compare it - it looks even bigger, than SP or Lobster. If you put the ball hopper SP is even smaller.

Lithium Battery in your tennis ball machine to lighten it

Did you think about taking the battery out and just connecting it with a wire? It will cost nothing and the ball machine will be as light as possible. I think Spinfire has this feature.

Best Ball Machine (Feature-rich and compact)

SP Smart is 1300 with remote, Lobster IV is 2300 with remote.

Best Ball Machine (Feature-rich and compact)

Silent Partner Smart (look at eday auction site with nice discount) Lobster 4 or 5 or 5LE (twice as expensive) They are all of the same size.

    Building up a grip

Well, if you cannot buy grip size 5 then you should use balsa. Sleeves are not so good, because they add weight and eat bevels. Balsa takes some time and efforts, but result is best. If you have some crafting skills everything should be Ok. Search for balsa threads on this forum, everything is...

    Building up a grip

I played with balsa and sleeves. Too time a money consuming and still not correct result. Get needed racquet grip size and forget about it. :)

    Slinger tennis ball machine

If you look inside a Lobster, Silent Partner or any other tennis ball machine (engineered decades ago) you will see that there is almost nothing to be simplified or made smaller in size or enhanced. Therefore when I look at photos of a Slinger ball machine I think only of a Tennis Twist machine...

    First Time Elbow Pain

I am not a doctor, but few years ago I hurt my shoulder playing tennis so now I often visit him. :) He told that before workout you are supposed to warmup your body (even put a heating balsam on needed part of the body), make it almost sweat and keep this condition throughout workout, that it is...

    Ball Machine Advice

jwalk, right now I am torn between Smart and Quest. Regarding "hard to emulate a hitting partner or match play with a ball machine IMO " - I don't know how about Silent Partner Smart, but Lobster 4 says it can produce balls with random speed and spin. It kind a emulates real tennis. Moreover...

    Ball Machine Advice

Dear AndI, Thank you for your university-like reply, you should write books. :) I agree with everything and learned a lot from your message. I live in Europe and we don't have ball machines at the clubs. But my neighbor has an outdoor tennis court by his house and I will play there during warm...

    Ball Machine Advice

2ndServe, thank you for a reply. My only concern is that without life-like situations (I call this all kinds of drills and hitting balls with various speed, distance etc, spin etc.) it would be hard even for a 3.0 player to grow up. Example: my coach used to feed me balls right near me - after...

    Ball Machine Advice

AndI, thank you for honest reply. I am currently 3.0 player, had bad luck with numerous pro's (50% their inability to explain and 50% my lack of sport talent) and wall causing even more bad habits. So I decided to get a ball machine, film myself on a smartphone and watch truly useful lessons...

    Ball Machine Advice

How often do you use and how useful are drills and extra features of 5LE? I've seen most of the people on this forum saying that they never use them, just 2 lines etc. I am deciding now between Lobster 4-5 / SP Quest-Smart and less advanced models. Just don't want to get a top model and never...

    Urgent help with ball machine.

WD40 is also a 50% grease. If balls get dirty with WD40 it would be hard to clean them.

    Urgent help with ball machine.

    1. You can call their office or send them an email. So far the guy from SP office responded to my emails within an hour. 2. Find out what is greasy and sticky inside the machine and change it for a new one. Maybe belt, maybe a wheel. Take photos, post them here.

Ball machine - Go high end? Or are the features not worth it?

wmoore, have you tried contacting SP support to fix this issue? I plan getting same model on eDay and your story looks very frightening. So far I've read only positive reviews of SP machines on this website.

Did anyone here try a coach with a $500 price tag? How did it look like? How different from a regular nice coach?
