    Adria Tour 2020

I wonder why people are not held accountable for their OWN actions? Sure Djokovic hasn't helped himself or anyone else here. But those other players chose to play - no one forced them. The fans decided to attend the stadium. Are those fans, players and Djokovic any worse than the people who are...

Price of a gallon of gasoline

In the UK yesterday it was at £1.06 per litre for diesel, I have filled up a price as low as that, As others have pointed out, the irony of it being so low when you shouldn't step outside.

How many grand slams will Djokovic win in his carrier?

Realistic Djokovic fan here. If Djokovic somehow wins RG this year, then I think he ends up 20/21. If he doesn't win RG this year then it's 19. Djokovic's ground game is a shadow of what it once was and he's only decent on serve. That's not enough to keep the young guys out for much longer. I...

    2020 Australian open final :- [5] Dominic Thiem v/s [2] Novak Djokovic

Djokovic 1/4 Thiem 11/4 Interesting, thought it would be closer given Thiem won their last tour meeting and more importantly their last slam meeting.

2020 Australian Open SF: Novak Djokovic [2] vs Roger Federer [3]

I recall many Federer fans saying that Djokovic was not injured during one of their Monte Carlo matches a few years ago. Funny how the tables have turned and the Fed fans don't like it.

2020 Australian Open SF: Novak Djokovic [2] vs Roger Federer [3]

You really need to do your research before you type. Federer pulled out minutes before he was due to play Djokovic in the Tour Finals a couple of years ago.

More likely (or less unlikely) to complete the double career Slam: Nadal or Djokovic?

Djokovic has the bnetter chance until Nadal lifts the French Open in 4 months. Then Nadal will have the best chance till he loses in R4 of next year's AO. Rinse and repeat.

2020 Australian Open SF: Novak Djokovic [2] vs Roger Federer [3]

I totally understand if players withdraw or pull out, I cannot understand players who leave it till the last second. If he does pull out, he needs to do it like a few hours before the match so people who are travelling for this session don't have to. It's bad enough to not get to see a match...

2020 Australian Open QF :- [1] Rafa Nadal vs [5] Domi Thiem

Thiem is very fit and has a very good deciding set record. If it goes the distance I pick Thiem otherwise Nadal would be my pick. The conditions will be slow and heavy but given their gamestyles I don't think it'll favour either.

AO’20 QF Men’s Singles: (3) R Federer (SUI) vs Tennys Sandgren

I know some will think I'm trolling but I'm not. It will take either seismic shock or a strategic tank for Federer to lose this. I'm not going to say Federer would fear Djokovic, but if Djokovic were to get beaten by Raonic the drive and desire from Federer in this match would go up by umpteen...

2020 Australian Open - Men's Singles - Official Tournament Thread

The crying about draws is pointless because over the course of a year and definitely over the course of a career they do even out.

    2020 Australian Open Round of 128 (1R) :- [2] Novak Djokovic v/s [37]Jan-Lennard Struff

Sometimes he gives me the feeling he just wants to skip R1-R4 and get to the business end. I know I want to see that myself.

    2020 Australian Open Round of 128 (1R) :- [2] Novak Djokovic v/s [37]Jan-Lennard Struff

Where is Goran? Didn't see him in the box and the commentators didn't mention him once during the whole match.

Has anyone ever lost a match with more than +14 point differential?

Not this again. The only differential that matter is the match point differential. It's +1 to Djokovic.

Wimbledon 2019 Final: Novak Djokovic [1] vs Roger Federer [2]

In the same way Nadal can't win RG every time? These great players know how to manage their games. Djokovic has done just enough to get to the final.

Most people expect Djokovic to return just as well.

Wimbledon 2019 Final: Novak Djokovic [1] vs Roger Federer [2]

Everyone has a chance until the fat lady starts singing. 1) Is Federer at his peak? 2) Are any of those close encounters at a slam? Djokovic is a different animal in slams these days. 3) Wasn't he hitting his FH well in 2014/2015?

Wimbledon 2019 Final: Novak Djokovic [1] vs Roger Federer [2]

Odds at the moment are 1/2 for Djokovic and Federer 13/8 and this is fresh from the 2nd semi result. Djokovic is a strong favourite.

Djokovic might not be too huge of a favorite at Wimbledon

Some lessons even an idiot could learn just by "play, rinse and repeat". 1. Djokovic raises his level at the deep end of slams by at least 1 or 2, sometimes 4 or 5. 2. Nadal is always the favourite at RG. 3. Federer will swat aside journeymen but get exposed on the BH wing vs Nadal on clay and...

    2019 Wimbledon - Gentlemen singles

Pella's match wasn't a long (in time) one. I don't think it's be a factor. I think Pella's tournament so far is more likely to dictate when he's scheduled.

Kyrgios on attempting to hit Nadal

Meaning Nadal needs to either stay back, hit a better approach shot or be ready to take the hit.

Are people really using Boodles as a reference for where someone's game is? Honestly any poster who reads into exhibitions needs to be blocked for a week to let them figure out how and why the use of exhibitions is pointless.

Finally the clay season is over. Time for some real tennis.

Is there a greater feeling in tennis than coming off the dirt and onto the nice fresh lawns like the ones at Halle and Queens? I can understand why people like clay tennis, it's physically more demanding allow fitter players to flourish, but it doesn't allow the same variety and skill that we...

2019 French Open - ATP Thread

The French Open - the only slam where you can somehow manage to start a day early, have so many good players in week 2 and yet end up giving us this sh*tshow. Even an epic finale (which is nigh on impossible) can't save what has been a horrendous slam.

    Djokovic is done

If anything - I think Djokovic goes into Wimbledon in decent shape and as strong of a favourite as he's ever been. Lots of guys have the game to trouble him on HC, even more on clay, but on grass with his serve and return it's difficult to see who can beat him there. I'm picking a Federer -...

2019 French Open SF: [1] Djokovic vs. [4] Thiem

Just goes to show how difficult it is to win 1 slam let alone 4 in a row. So much luck required with the scheduling, you need luck with the draw and also conditions. So a lot of credit must go to him for the Nole Slam in 2015-2016. I think Novak's RG days are over anyway, he doesn't have the...

WWW RG SF: Djokovic vs. Thiem

It's about that time in a slam when Djokovic makes his move. The only concern I have is the surface. Djokovic can't impose himself on Thiem in the same way he would on a HC or on Grass. On clay it'll be tougher. But I am expecting Djokovic to make his move - expecting him to drop the hammer on...

WWW RG SF: Djokovic vs. Thiem

There are potentially a few guys who "can" hit through Novak - saying it and doing it are different things. Novak has taken on the biggest hitters the sport has ever seen and just blunted their major weapons for years now. Thiem has a big serve, well Djokovic returns better than anyone. Thiem...
