    Moya to announce retirement.

I thought this guy retired years ago. I'll always think of him as that guy who lost some hella-grueling matches at the U.S. Open. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't he have some incredible 5-setters with Roddick and Martin? Those were some fine matches.

Did you read my post in its entirety? Because I was attempting to make a funny, bromethius.

Uh. Not sure if you're serious.

    greatest RIVALRY of all time?

This is a pretty flawed poll. McDonald's fries versus Wendy's fries needs to be added to this list.

Now will people finally STOP claiming that Nadal would have beaten Fed at the USOpen?

Don't you get into Mensa by doing well on IQ tests? IQ tests basically just measure how good you are at taking IQ tests. I don't care if someone is in a group that accepts members based on flawed measures of intelligence. I'm also pretty sure that Mensa members are just kind of sad and...

Break out your tin foil hats, boys and girls. We're posting in a BreakPoint thread!

WTF 2010 Final: Rafael Nadal (1) vs Roger Federer (2)

Big win for Federer. Hopefully this will give him confidence going into 2011, especially if he should meet Nadal in a Grand Slam. This is still probably the best rivalry in tennis right now. Also, as for all the Nadal fans, I bet they mad. (Wave of excuses from Nadal fans incoming)

WTF 2010 Final: Rafael Nadal (1) vs Roger Federer (2)

My goodness, Nadal got absolutely squirted on in that first set. I wish Federer had played this kind of game against Nadal over the past few years, instead of that wimpy-passive stuff thay lost him a couple of Grand Slams.

WTF 2010 Final: Rafael Nadal (1) vs Roger Federer (2)

So far this match is living up to my (high) expectations. Also, I'm not sure why Drysdale brought up McEnroe when talking about textbook volleyers. I was honestly offended.

WTF 2010 Final: Rafael Nadal (1) vs Roger Federer (2)

Hundreds of posts in this thread, and the match hasn't even started yet. I'm not going to read everything here, but I assume that half the posts mention either Federer crying or Nadal's oft-picked underwear.

Your Most Fascinating Book of 2010!!

My favorite book of the year will make me look like a snob, but I thoroughly enjoyed David Foster Wallace's Infinite Jest. The book is difficult to describe. In includes allusions to Hamlet, dangling carrots, what entertainment means to Americans, addiction, obsession, and using these addictions...

PLease discuss Nadal's potential game plan against Federer.

I have made a brilliant flowchart, fully illustrating Nadal's strategy against Federer.

Would Stosur be nearly as good without all the technology?

I think lots of the analogues presented in this thread are pretty flawed. Brass knuckles to a boxing match, bringing an assault rifle to a fencing match, whatever. These examples are not pertinent to tennis in any way, nor do they make sense on their own, but there's no need to get into this...

    Murray is a NICE GUY

    Andy Murray is a sweetheart.

So how do you REALLY feel about Rafael Nadal?

I respect what he's able to do on the tennis court. There's some real voodoo going on there, in terms of all the incredible spins and angles he's able to come up on the forehand side, and the same is true of his backhand side to a slightly less degree. I'm also impressed with how hard he works...

I get the feeling that BreakPoint shakes his fist at teenagers who drive through his neighborhood too fast.

WTF 2010 RR: Novak Djokovic (3) vs Andy Roddick (8)

He's probably just kind of mentally checked out this point. He's had a pretty terrible 2010, and I'm sure it's gotten into his head in a big way.

    Roddick vs Rafa, RR MATCHUP

Don't cry for me, Argentina. To me, it is sadder to be a fan of Nadal. To me, he is everything that is wrong with tennis.
  22. Greg

    Roddick vs Rafa, RR MATCHUP

No. I watch his matches hoping that he'll lose. Which rarely happens, obviously, but when he does lose I feel pretty good for the rest of the day.

    Roddick vs Rafa, RR MATCHUP

I wish I could freeze myself for the next few years, and come out of cryogenic hibernation after Nadal retires. I can't stand looking at all the stupid faces he makes while he plays, and his game just puts me to sleep.

Wilson kps 88 vs kfactor 6.1

Basically this. I haven't hit with either racket. However, I have hit with the Pro Staff 6.0 85 and the Pro Staff 6.1 Classic, so I'll explain how those differed for me, as I'm sure that they're quite similar to their KFactor counterparts. The Pro Staff 6.1 Classic is one of my all-time...

Yeah, a tennis bag should do you fine. I've used a tennis bag on every trip I've been on. Dealing with a gigantic box on two toy wheels absolutely annoys me, and I think that it's easier to simply carry around a gear bag.

    has anyne used a...

Yes, I have. I believe I took three rackets with me on a long holiday, in a 6-racket Wilson bag. I kind of packed the rackets with boxer shorts and various t-shirts wrapped around them so they'd be extra-cushioned. If you're wondering if your rackets would be able to survive throwers, then yes...

The head of my racquet is deformed... Ideas to “correct” it?

I can second this. A friend of mine used to use the Ti.Radical back when we were in high school. I know he strung up his racket a good number of pounds past the recommended range, and his rackets were visibly warped, though it didn't seem to affect how they played. Though I think one of them...

McEnore "Federer not as good athlete as Nadal or Borg"

Well, I've met both Federer and Nadal in person, and I can say that Nadal is the better athlete. Unlike the rest of you, who don'tknow what you're talking about at all. I met Nadal, and the guy is probably around seven feet tall. He has the booming voice of a giant, and he has musculature...

McEnore "Federer not as good athlete as Nadal or Borg"

I could go on YouTube and probably find, like, a half dozen videos of Federer crying. Probably more actually. I think he cries a lot for a tennis player. That doesn't necessarily make him less of an athlete, but I've always found it strange.
