    head custom made racquets

Bumping this thread to see if anyone has any new info regarding the future of this service. I feel like there's some potential here that Head certainly should be tapping into, especially now that they're making great racquets again.

    Wilson Blade RF Autograph?

100% a fake, best thing you can do is report the seller.

Prestige Mid to become the racquet of the 2020s.

Got it, can you tell me which of the Wilson buttcaps you use then? Can’t find any of the Head ones I want in stock. I have a few of the newer red/white W ones used on the v6/7 Blades but they don’t fit very well. Thanks

Prestige Mid to become the racquet of the 2020s.

I’ve been hitting with the mid all week and am playing some excellent tennis with it. This thing just destroys the ball and I’m excited to keep playing with it and sharing my thoughts. Unfortunately I’ve been having some loose buttcap issues on all three of my frames, especially noticeable on my...

Prestige Mid to become the racquet of the 2020s.

So I caved and ordered a trio of mids last week. They finally arrived this evening so I strung one up with Lynx Tour 17 and took it out to the wall for a quick hit to test out the feel. That quick wall hit ended up lasting an hour and a half... Needless to say I’m very happy with how this thing...

Prestige Mid to become the racquet of the 2020s.

Just because you can’t handle a negligible difference in sweet spot size doesn’t mean it’s a bad or outdated racquet, sorry to tell you that mate.

NEW 2019 Radical (May 16th) Release Date and (Some) Changes

Boy have some of these Head threads gotten real stupid lately.

    The Cult of PT57

In my experience TK238 is easier to install and more durable than TK293, which has a rounder shape and goes a tad longer down the grommet channel.

What happened to the Wilson Ultra Tour?

It’s an excellent Prestige rip off, the mold is sexy and the playability when it’s weighted up is really flipping good! Imo it needs to be in the 350g strung range if you really want to get the most out of it. The feel is interesting, definitely more on the plush side, but the stiff upper hoop...

Prestige Mid to become the racquet of the 2020s.

Exactly how I would describe the Phantom. It’s really is an excellent stick, but there is a sense of vagueness on the stringbed that meatier 18x20 MPs don’t have. The V7 Blade on the other hand takes that rubbery feeling to a whole new level.

Prestige Mid to become the racquet of the 2020s.

Hey mad dog, you use the Ultra Tour right? How would you compare the control and feel between the two? @J011yroger how is the control for you compared to your GPMPs? Thanks guys

    Wilson Ultra Tour Grommets?

Hi TW, According to the website, you won’t have any Ultra Tour grommets in stock until 8/16? Is this a typo or is Wilson seriously taking that long to supply grommets? If the latter, is there anyway possible Wilson could be contacted to potentially accelerate the process? That is an absolutely...

    The Cult of PT57

So at this point I think it’s fairly obvious Head can’t rerelease the actual PT630 layup on a large scale for market. Especially now that we know that the PT57 is produced at Kennelbach and only sent to China for painting. Maybe @Howard H can add something to this but it seems that something...

My Review of the Pure Aero VS (2020)

Sounds to me like a platform racquet, I’m surprised you didn’t know that. Oh well, I guess you must be inexperienced with racquets.

Ah yes, another one of Fedace’s alts.

    Help determining a fake

Imgur.com is your friend. Upload your pics there and then add the link to this thread. It does sound like you possibly have a fake but it’s worth a look! Is there a “W” hologram sticker on the inside of the racquet’s throat?

    Wilson ULTRA v3 (2020)

Probably all the weight differences listed are QC related. Although I guess it is possible they made it lighter to market it even harder as a platform frame. The thinner beam and smaller headsize comment just refer to the racquet’s place in the line compared to the other Ultras. Hopefully...

    Wilson ULTRA v3 (2020)

I’m now fairly certain the Tour and Pro are identical models. I reached out to Wilson both through IG and Email and on both platforms I was told by a representative that they didn’t “understand” my question.. I literally asked the IG rep if the two models shared the same specs and layup and...

    Wilson ULTRA v3 (2020)

If they did indeed add freeflex it will be interesting how it differs from the v7 Blade. Seems like they they would be extremely close to one another. I guess it could also be possible the new UP has a higher quality layup more akin to a pro stock H19.

    Wilson ULTRA v3 (2020)

Hmmm, personally I would describe 4g as a more crisp/clean feeling string compared to the more muted/plastic response from hyper g, so that might be all you’re feeling. However it’s very possible the layup was changed. Too bad the UP is only being sold through Wilson now, would’ve been nice to...

    Wilson ULTRA v3 (2020)

Interesting, what did you think was changed? Might just be classic Wilson QC but interesting nonetheless.

Very cool, do you know what the spec was before you removed the lead?

New head Pro stock code, Pt 313.2.

So it’s a Graphene Radical throat with a 95” Prestige head? Weird he’s not using an old 95” Radical instead. Guess this pro stock has a very specific feel he wants. If I’m not mistaken I think he had a stint with an H22 before he switched over to Head, maybe this plays similar.

New head Pro stock code, Pt 313.2.

Interesting! I was under the assumption he was using the TGT 307.1 but could be wrong. You can add pics to imgur.com and then paste the link here, it’s very easy. It will be interesting to hear some of the Head pro stock experts weight in with their opinion afterwards.

    2020 Wilson Ultra

Modern Wilson uses the crappiest business practices compared to the other brands imo. It just seems like they are trying to exploit customers as much as possible without giving a damn about their QC or overall product quality.

    2020 Wilson Ultra

Unbelievable how they are trying to sell it for $249 when the previous identically specced version was going for 129 last week.

    Wilson Ultra Tour (Monfils)

Interesting comparison, but I completely agree with you. Imo, the new 93P definitely has more of a plush, classic Prestige feel compared to the previous version. I also found the flex of the new model to be much more pronounced as well, which helped bolster the effect. It would be interesting to...

The Prince Phantom 93P is a gift to us from TW - My Review/AMA

If you like a high launch angle you might like the 93P 14x18 better over the 18x20. The 14x18 still has a very nice feel, and it is crazy how much depth and spin you can get with it. Almost like a much more comfortable Pure Aero with better control and touch, and a 93” Head size 8-B

The Prince Phantom 93P is a gift to us from TW - My Review/AMA

I played with the 18x20 v7 since it’s release through January. The launch angle on the Blade is generally higher than the 93P. The Blade pockets the ball more and it is easier to generate topspin. However, with fast full strokes and an 18g poly or a multi, you shouldn’t have any issues with the...

The Prince Phantom 93P is a gift to us from TW - My Review/AMA

Since nobody else seemed to have much experience with the new 93P 18x20 I decided to jump the gun and purchase a few. I recently rediscovered my love for the previous version and it’s untouchable blend of pinpoint control, comfort, maneuverability, stability, and feel. That may be a lot of...
