    Musetti...impressed

The unfortunate problem is you cannot extrapolate 18/19 year old Federer to 22 year old federer, or any player really,ie Gasquet was overhyped. Federer worked so much on his game between that time, the death of his coach certainly propelled him. He was not the prodigy Nadal was, in fact Nadal...

Poor FFA: got destroyed once again

Athletically, he is light years ahead in terms of talent exhibited on the court. His potential is far and away above Zverev, thiem, etc at 20 looking forward . I believe

Imagine Medvedev down a break in the fifth, he removes his hairpiece in the middle of the court starring down thiem and tossing the sweaty mane at his chair and bag. Thiem is shaken and Danny boy comes back to win

Should Federer be stripped of the 2006 AO title?

The ball boys that role the balls down parallel to the doubles alley, are very close to where that line judge positions herself. Tennis players often disperse of balls without looking. I’m not saying Djokovic isn’t at fault

Should Federer be stripped of the 2006 AO title?

Your reading comprehension skills are lacking. And during change overs and change of service balls are moving about, so YES, the ho should know mofo

Should Federer be stripped of the 2006 AO title?

Boxer must always protect himself, I see no disparity. You lack an astute definition of misogyny

Why American Men Have Not Succeeded in Tennis

Bring red clay and court variety, particularly fast hard courts to youth tennis. The aforementioned Roddick mold will be weeded out when the 6’2 12 year old is forced to play on red clay all summer where his physical advantages are nullified, in other words he will have to create. Fast hard...

Djokcovid has a pattern of uncontrolled behaviour

Its good to have personalities. I dont think the evolution of 80s,90s tantrums is evolution at all, just homogenization for marketability. That's why I never understood Kyrgios, if its all about the money, hes costing himself tens of millions by not working on his game in conjunction with acting...

Djokovic disqualified from the US Open for hitting a lines woman in the throat.

Djokovic is returning the balls to the corner of the back of the court which is what every player does on change of service.
  19. Benben245

Trash. Utter Trash. Djoker Should NOT be disqualified

The context was a change service, returning the ball to the lines people on the break. This is within the context of the game. I think this is a terrible penalty. The rule implies hitting a linesperson with the ball out of the normal gameplay, a la Shapovalov.

Djokovic disqualified from the US Open for hitting a lines woman in the throat.

w The context of returning the ball to the linesperson was change of service yes?

Djokovic disqualified from the US Open for hitting a lines woman in the throat.

Counter the proof. If the same situation occurred on a bounce whereby the ball hit the ground first and the lady fumbled the recovery And it hit her in the eye throat whatever. Is he still defaulted? The returning of the ball for the service change was within the context of the game and how it...

Djokovic disqualified from the US Open for hitting a lines woman in the throat.

This is not the same as Shapovalov. His intent was to hit the ball to the lines person but not to harm. I disagree with outcome

Has there been this many tall players in the past?

The advent of height increase on tour is not proportionate to quality. In fact, quality is hurt by next gen tall cell phone obsessed teenagers with a higher center of gravity and until this US Open no experience on fast courts affirming their predilection towards lower swingweights which have...

SW difference between Raonic and Tsits

Is there a 'significant' SW difference between Raonic and Tsitsipas? It certainly looked like it today. The plow through and depth on raonic's groundstrokes more than made up for his lack of agility. Stiffness?

New surface at the USO this year

Incorrect, atp and itf want slugfests with iconic players of years past on main courts. Slowing these stadium courts down to keep the star matchups of Federer Vs Nadal Alive. They want medvedev and company who more often play on the outer courts and whose talent is closer to the mean in terms...

New surface at the USO this year

Faster services on outer courts at slams of years past have been designed to protect against upsets; setting up marquee matchups later with the idea being, the more talented player has the advantage on faster surfaces
  29. Benben245

New surface at the USO this year

Its true, there is a conspiracy to slow surfaces. When the President of Wimbledon goes on "telly" insisting the courts were not intentionally slowed down I laugh, then with an abundance of caution, butter my toast.
