Congrats! I know you've been dying to get your hands on one. I can't wait to hear your impressions.

It's at a really good price too. How many do you have now? It pains me to say this but if I could only keep 1 between the UP 16m or the UT, I think I would choose the UP.

I must have missed where You posted you got injured. Hope you get better soon. when I got to the courts tonight it was already lightly drizzling. We thought we’d hit around anywyas and hopefully it would pass through quickly. We only got about 20 minutes in before it started pouring. I...

Wilson Pro Labs: Ultra Pro (16x19) Official Thread

So much truth here. One of my hitting partners is 25 and uses heavy spin. Last time I used the UT against him he said my shots wet very low and penetrating and that’s the type of shot that gives him the most problem. Which is ironic because heavy spin shots like him give me the most trouble. I...

    Diary of a Racketaholic

One of my hitting partners (whom I'm playing tonight if it stops raining) ordered a pair of the Speed MPs. Based off the specs it doesn't look like my type of frame but I'm still looking forward to hitting with it as I've never tried a Speed before. Please share if you ever find this unicorn...

Wilson Pro Labs: Ultra Pro (16x19) Official Thread

The biggest issue I’m having is deciding which I like more. Like you said there are minute and nuanced differences between the two. I’m going to keep a pair of each in my bag for a while until I can figure it out. I may just pick one or the other depending on how I’m feeling/playing that day...

    Head Gravity

I am currently demo'ing the Gravity Pro and Tour versions. After a few games I clearly preferred the Pro over the Tour. As someone else mentioned the feel is the primary thing that attracted me to it. I also prefer the added stability and plow through that it offers over the Tour. I need to do a...

I had looked at it in the past but this just sold me on it. It's interesting that Amazon has it for $169 while the TopspinPro site is asking $139.

Wilson Pro Labs: Ultra Pro (16x19) Official Thread

I do notice the biggest difference on my serve. I can't figure out why though. It's the same frame and even with lead it weighs a few grams less than my UTs. I can't wait to try my 2nd UP out there tomorrow night to see if it's the same results. I mean, it should be but I still can't fathom that...

Their QC has been pretty good on the UPs so far. If anything, they've been coming in under spec. I think it's the BP that you have to be a bit careful with.

Best Setup For Wilson Ultra Tour

I use 17G Hyper G at 48-50#. I've just recently strung mine up with different strings to do some experimenting so can't answer your other questions about how string sensitive it is.

Wilson Pro Labs: Ultra Pro (16x19) Official Thread

@gebruikershaes It does have more power. It's not like tweener power but is slightly more than the UT. I've only had the one UP 16m so far so I'm not sure how much of that is attributed to how it's leaded up, etc. I just picked up a 2nd UP so will hit with it later this week and will confirm if...

Wilson Pro Labs: Ultra Pro (16x19) Official Thread

I haven't noticed a huge difference in launch angle and power with the UP, at least not where I have to make a noticeable adjustment to it. Perhaps it depends on your strokes. For me it's a pretty seamless transition between the two. I will be your proxy if you want someone to mail one over to...

    Question about removing Bumper Guard

if you like the GPro but want something a little lighter, why not check out the Gravity Tour? I believe it’s 10 grams lighter so That may be just what you’re looking for.

    Diary of a Racketaholic

Net play is the weakest part of my game. I’ve never played much at the net so my recognition/reaction there is slow so I avoid it, which means I never improve. It’s a vicious cycle. I just need to get a ball machine and have it feed me so I can build my reaction time there.

    Diary of a Racketaholic

I actually find less pressure in tennis than other sports I’ve played. In tennis if you mess up you have no teammates that you are letting down. At least in singles anyways. I much prefer it that way. If you’re on a college team then it may feel a bit different and if you’re playing for money...

    Diary of a Racketaholic

My problem isn’t that I tense up but mental errors. I make my best shots when I have the least amount Of time to think and it’s just reflex that takes over. When it’s a slow ball or one that bounces high and sits there, too many options go through my mind and I end up making an error because I...

    Diary of a Racketaholic

i can usually tell within 5 minutes if I like a frame or it’s not even worth continuing with. It takes me a bit longer to determine if I really like a frame and should buy it. I will probably get 1 more chance (Due to rain this week) to play with The GPro this week but I’m already convinced on...

    Diary of a Racketaholic

i think I’ve pretty much settled in to what Im going to roll with for awhile. I’m going to keep 2 UT and 2 UP 16m in my bag and use one or the other as my main based on how I’m feeling that day. I will carry 1 GPro as well for those times where I want some extra forgiveness and power. So now...

The UP 16 has more power than the UT. I don’t know if I notice a big difference in launch angle Although I do think it’s a bit higher.

    Diary of a Racketaholic

For me it’s my 2 year old daughter. she knows when I’m leaving to play tennis (I think it’s the clothes) so she gets extra clingy and won’t let me put her down or let me out of her sight. Have you narrowed it down any? What weight range are you looking at now?

    Diary of a Racketaholic

On defense and returns did it just not have the stability to return them deep or clean enough? In my limited demo time with it I thought some of my defensive shots floated a bit Which is one of the reasons I preferred the extra weight of the Gravity Pro.

So solinco is going the way of Babolat and expanding from strings to racquets? I’ll have to check his video out.

    Diary of a Racketaholic

Seriously though, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I’m so grateful for those of you who suggested and swore by the UT. It totally made me reassess what type of racquets I like. I didn’t realize feel like that was possible as the racquets I’d demo’d To that point were stiffer 16/19...

    Diary of a Racketaholic

Ha! Youre awesome! i actually did try the 2nd gen PS. It was a great racquet but I got away from it due to the high stiffness rating. If your elbows can handle it, more power to you. there’s no fire here. I’ve used the ignore button As suggested.

    Diary of a Racketaholic

Despite what some may believe, I always take mental notes of what you guys recommend as you are much more experienced. We don't all play the same style or same level so what applies at your level may not necessarily apply at my level. For example @mad dog1 has already stated my reviews don't...

    Diary of a Racketaholic

I got 2 of my UT's restrung today. I took PPs advice (I think) and put S7T in one of them and my usual Hyper G in the other one. Both at 48# so I can compare them alongside each other and see which I prefer.
