Been a fan of both for quite a while :)

Hah I think you mean he doesn't stay on his toes.

    Your Best Shot??

Cross court back hand and down the line forehand seem to score me the most points.

    Andy Roddick's weaknesses

I just don't think he goes for his shots anymore. Same with his serve. He has found he can still be a top 5 player and except for some other guys - whip everyone else on tour with his game. He plays a higher percentage game than he used to (more top spin, less flat shots). When he goes all out...

    Andy Roddick's weaknesses

Wow your analysis seems so backwards. Andy is fitter and stronger than he has ever been. If you doubt that look at recent shots of him with his shirt off compared to a few years ago. The guy has put on a lot of muscle while still being cut. Did you see his match against Johanson? He was...

Didn't Blake do something similar a few years back?

revised best backhand in mens tennis poll

The two guys that I have seen execute the down the line shot more consistently than anybody else are Gasquet and Nalbandian.

    Racquets similar to PD

I recently hit with a PD w/cortex and loved it a lot. I was very surprised how much easier it was on my arm compared to the original PD. I was able to hit every shot with pace and spin with ease. Before I go off and buy a few of them though I was wondering what else I should demo that is...

Mirka during her active time (pic)

you need to drag and drop it to view it. I think she looks pretty hot (now and then).

    Federer should have lost

I take it you missed the 2005 masters final which Nalbandian won? Nalbandian is a threat to Federer on any surface.

Do you feel Blake is stiff?

Try moving the way he does on court - you can't do that while being stiff. He just has exceptional posture.

    Sampras Sighting

Sampras was spraying balls all over the place and couldnt get a backhand in before his exhibition. I think he will do fine in matches, not enough to beat Federer of course :).

Pro's shots powerful because of leaded racket?

Stength isn't as important as coordination, timing and most importantly technique.

What does everyone think of the Nadal Federer rivaly

Depends on the surface. Clay I give the obvious advantage to Nadal. Grass/Fast court Federer. medium pace either way.

    Who was your tennis inspiration?

Sampras, Rios and Agassi growing up. These days mostly Federer.

Hewitt: should he fire Roger Rasheed?

Hewitt hasn't put on enough mass that he would be slower. My guess is he hasn't been as focused the last couple of months and this is the result.

who's this unidentified practice partner of roger's?

Even Safin gets his ass kicked in practice matches. What seperates the men from the boys though is winning when it counts.

    The Bjorn Borg Saga

He valued majors and practice over playing other tournaments like other players do. Before each wimbledon he would practice constantly after the FO while other people were playing Queens or other grass warmups.

Who do you think is the most attractive female player to ever play in women's tennis?

I agree. I never got to see her play but even today she is stunning and from the sounds of it she had a game to back it up.

    Gaudio cut his hair

You sure that is Gaudio? Aside from his hair his forehand looks really weak, which leads me to question whether it is really him. Also looking at old pictures of him, he had long hair back in 2000. The guy in the video's clothes look to be from 2004ish.

Can't choose between 1 or 2 handed backhand.

I mainly use a 1her. I feel I can generate more power/spin with it and it feels very natural. But I recently started learning how to hit a 2her as well. My main reason is for return of serves and being able to hit from an open stance easier.

    James Scott Connors

From the accounts I have heard and from the interviews I have seen Conners is a shy guy. Yeah he is a beast on the court but not socially. Could it be that he was just too nervious to be around Laver?

Don't you just hate it when they screw up the camera angle?

Me too. Also when you get to really see the player's service motion and see more what the player sees such as when they have that camera behind the players.

I would say sports like mma and boxing require most athletism and skill, at least to be successful.

Fed-Nal Dispute in 3rd Set at 5-2- what happened?

Nalbandian was gaming it up throughout the match. I was surprised to see this actually bother Fed. It was obvious that in the 3rd and 4th sets that Fed was irritated with what Nalbandian was doing.

Is it worthwhile to practice against a backboard?

You can get a decent work out from it and it helps when working on a new stroke, but it can't compare to actually hitting with some one. It can be a good guage as to how good a player is though. A better player will be able to hit the same area on a board more times between mishits.
