If that happened to me I would get a new pair of insoles for the shoes.

Is hurting my toe running for a dropshot a sign of a shoe that doesn't fit properly?

I lost a toe nail on my big toe with that problem. I thought the issue would get better, but just got worse over time. I ended up pitching them out, sad. Some shoes fit different than others. You just have to find the right shoe and stick with it once you find the right one. Biggest issue with...

My New - Old Stringing Machine

Where can I get these part for an Eagnas machine?

Be glad they will send you the parts and be done with it. You are fortunate they have the parts available. You could have been looking at getting another machine, but lucky parts available. Example take someone with a Babolat Star 5 ,or Babolat Sensor, if electronic board failed, no service...

    Gamma 6004 Stock Issues

The base clamps on the 6004 alone makes it worth while. Base clamp difference makes a big difference between the two machines. Give it some time, and go for the better machine, you will not regret getting the best machine you can get.

My New - Old Stringing Machine

The Serrano early models were made in the early 1930's . Mine is a very early model, but still pulls very accurate. They are what you would call an automatic drop weight as bar does not need to be level. Just step on peddle, the tension clamp moves to racquet, clamp , release peddle and clamp...

My New - Old Stringing Machine

The original posters Oliver machine, as well as my old Serrano, those drop weight machines do not need to keep the bar level, as it just pulls to reference and keeps it there.

    Opening up the Baiardo

300 for the motor. I remember a few months ago someone posted that they replaced a motor for their Babolat machine, and was told to use a windshield wiper motor, and said it replaced it perfect. I wonder if motors would be the same across different brands as most likely not many suppliers of...

My New - Old Stringing Machine

That machine reminds me of my old Serrano machine. I still have that old beast as well. My machine I never got the upgrades to handle the larger racquet of today, and only use it for an occasional wooden racquet once in a great while, and it pulls very accurate. Does your Oliver accommodate the...

    String Breaking Question

Not doubtful at all. It can happen with Nat. Gut. We discussed this same topic at the IART, ( formerly gss ) , as stringers there had same issue with gut. Gut stringers knows this. Every gut player I string for knows this as well, as I informed them.

    String Breaking Question

A mis hit can occur 1st time out, or at any time . Not all mis hits will cause a broken string, but it does happen and gut more sensitive to this.

    String Breaking Question

You can do it if you cut out the strings. Or, you can ask the stringer to do it, but if you do it you will know it was done. Just try it once and you will see.

    String Breaking Question

What can happen with ng is if you got a mishit , string may not snap when you have that shanked shot, but string is weakened, later you take racquet out of bag, and forgot that you shanked a shot on previous outing, and find a broken ng string near a grommet. It is easy to forget about a...

    T2000 and gut strings

Back years ago, the T 2000 was a common racquet to find stringer errors on, as many just thought that they knew how to string it, while making mistakes.

    T2000 and gut strings

This video shows the stringer placing the string through the loops then tensioning. Tension should be applied to the string before inserting the string through the crown loops. Wilson specific instructions. Do what this stringer did with natural gut and most likely will snap fast. It is even...

    T2000 and gut strings

Back in late 60's early 70's I strung a great deal of those T 2000 racquets, as at that time it was a very popular racquet. With synthetic strings, I could string those racquets one after another, no issues. Simple racquet to string once you do a number of them. One time I got a player that...

    Starting clamp with natural gut

Did you by chance ever clean your starting clamp? The starting clamp does get dirty over time, and what you may be seeing is marks on string as string maybe slipping a little marring string. Very important to clean starting clamp when you clean machine clamps. I string a decent amount of nat...

Clamps wearing down? Debris on clamp bases

From your pictures, it looks like the diamond coating is coming off. You can see that the diamond plates inside clamps are smoothing off.Best bet is to get a new set of well made decent clamps. Good clamps is a very important part of any machine, as you don't want to crush string, but you need...

    Tension too tight

If your calibration is dead on as you said, I would go by that, as that is a more accurate way to measure tension with a string end. Once strung, any app is an approximate gauge of tension depending on string length and string type, etc. It is more a measure of string bed stiffness and not...
