    2019 Wilson Blade

I'm still with the Blade 98v7 18x20 coming from the Prostaff 97s 2016(endorsed by Dimitrov). Didn't try the Blade v7 16x19 as the swing weight is lower on the 16x19. I have two, but my daughter has claimed one of them for herself! I use Wilson Syn Gut at 52lbs which has probably now dropped to...

Are you gripping the handle too tight? Full swings, finishing over your shoulder? String tension and type of strings can be play into this too.

    questions about RF97

I play with the RF97A v11 on and off. My thoughts are that it’s a super stiff and heavy. I have heard the that the RF97 v13 is lighter from YouTube videos and TW customers reviews so far. I have my v11 strung with gut in the mains and ALU Power in the crosses as per Roger’s setup and this...

    2020 Prostaff update

Simply shocking! That's why I'll probably never stray too far from the RF97 V11 and Blade v7. My PS97 V13 spends most of its time in the bag now.

    2020 Prostaff update

This video seems to suggest that it’s lighter, although that could be Wilson’s questionable QC!

Agree, I swing with 'that other racket' too and find it better.

    2020 Prostaff update

Thanks for confirming. The swing weight is also lower than what I'm used to, 330's is my wheel house, hence the feeling of lack of plow through.

    2020 Prostaff update

Would be interested to know the swing weight, especially based on my brief hit with it today.

    2020 Prostaff update

OK, rain momentarily stopped so got down to the club to hit with the PS97. Firstly, I felt I had to put a dampener in because the ping sound annoys me! First impressions are that it does lack plow through and the sweet spot does feel small. It’s comfortable on the arm and definitely doesn’t feel...

    2020 Prostaff update

Still haven't hit with mine yet! The weather is the pits in the UK at the moment, just rain, rain, rain this time of year. May have to book an indoor court around 25 miles from where I live just to try it out at this rate. This is where this county totally fails in its lack of indoor...

    2020 Prostaff update

Whoa, that's seriously off-spec strung. TW list a 332 gram strung weight for the PS97 v13. What's your grip size?

    2020 Prostaff update

Just got my PS97 v13 back from the club stringer. The weight has come in at 336g with Luxilon ALU Power 1.25mm. I have added bumper tape to the hoop and this pushes the weight to 339 grams. Will hit with it this week, weather permitting, and report back.

The RF97 is Perfect, but I can't find the right Strings

Hi all, I thought I would give experience on strings for the RF97A. I have been playing with the RF97A for a couple of months now and will try one more string setup before putting it away for the odd occasion when I want to bring on my GE(Golfers Elbow)! Right now playing with gut in the mains...

    2020 Prostaff update

Beat me to it, but it really isn't anything special. Here's a link to my Prostaff Google album with a picture of the original Prostaff 85 cover v's the v13 cover. There is also a picture showing the unstrung weight with the plastic on the handle. https://photos.app.goo.gl/886K5rFNBpVdZHgB8

Yes, most likely. Wilson should have offered more than 70 covers. Bit pathetic IMO.

    2020 Prostaff update

If you wanted the vintage cover, the approach was to sign-up with Wilson via the insiders link on their website about three weeks ago, wait for the invite to order the racket, place the order. If you were one of the first 70 orders, the racket cover gets added to your basket for free. Well, at...

    2020 Prostaff update

Same here, I play with one of these and find it has ample power. I've strung mine with Wilson syn gut at 53lbs, which has probably dropped now into the high 40s. I find you need to hit with an eastern forehand and flat backhand with early prep on both sides with a long follow through, so big...

    2020 Prostaff update

In the same boat as you. I play with an 18x20 Blade v7, and found my OHBH yesterday with it but will probably be torn between the two! My PS97 should be strung by next week.

    2020 Prostaff update

Phoned Wilson UK today to follow-up my e-mail to them where I complained that grip size 4 wasn't available to order for the PS97 v13 when using the Insider email link. I checked before I made the call that it was still the case and it was. Their response was that I'll have to wait until the...

    2020 Prostaff update

Just got the Insiders mail from Wilson to pre-order the the Prostaff v13 but it seems that grip size 4 is unavailable, and when filling out the notification screen to be alerted when its available, a pop up appears that notifications are not available Looks like I’ll also miss out on the retro...

My New tennis racket (RF97A black)

Have quite a loose grip when playing with this racket, but hasn't left my hand during play. I will keep an eye on the paintwork and report back. Good job I have bought two frames with the intention of keeping one never to be used. I usually play with the Blade V7 18x20 tail weighted with 8...

My New tennis racket (RF97A black)

Not sure if anyone has suspect paint work on their 2016 Black RF97A. I have played three sessions with mine, and the gloss paint at 3 and 9 o’clock is starting to pickup marks only from framing the ball.

Yonex VCore Pro 97 HD review...

Just started watching this thread as I have just moved to the Blade V7 18X20 from a PS97s 2016. I have also recently bought a couple of RF97A purely for nostalgic reasons and before they sell out, so I am expermenting with strings in this frame too. I am serioulsly looking at demoing the 97HD...

Yep, looks like only the PS Team is listed on TW. You can still get most of the current PS range from Tennis Point Germany.

The new blade V7 May just be the best blade so far

Hit with my RF97A yesterday but also have the Blade 18x20 v7 so able to draw some comparisons. I tail weighted the Blade with 8 grams of lead in the handle to make it more HL with a Wilson Pro over grip. The Blade is strung with Wilson syn gut at 50lbs and I’ve stopped using a dampner. The RF97A...
