Before I jumped to the 18x20, I was experimenting with Tecnifibre Multifeel 16 in my TC95 16x19s at around 56#. I was impressed with the control I got from it, and the string doesn't move. Try it out but string it at least mid-50s.

@topspn, yes, the 16x19 was working fine, but the 18x20 is an ideal match for my game. When results come instinctively, and you're not even thinking about the frame, you've found a good one. Confidence is everything in this sport. Btw, I have them strung with Klip 18 natural gut mains and volkl...

Remarkable frame the 16x19, but since moving to the TC95 18x20, I have to say I haven't missed it for a second. But let me flip the formula for its (18x20) specialty ... flaming arrows to sculpting spin on demand ... if you can unlock it;) Guess it all boils down to the foundation, perspective...

I would heat the pallet with your wife's hair dryer very well before removing the pallet. Some people use a heat gun, others wrap the pallet and boil it briefly in water, but my wife's hair dryer always worked for me on my Volks.

Don't do anything drastic; I thought we'd swap frames in a year or so ... But seriously, I can do so much more with this 18x20. And v.3, regardless of the string pattern, just improves on the uniform flex of the TC95. It's such a 'balanced' feel on contact.

You were a good sport from the beginning because I was pushing you the moment you posted pics of them in the thread. When you gravitated to the 16x19 and started talking about Chicago winter and indoor tennis, I knew the perfect storm/opportunity was forming. What topspn says is true. I...

Yes, my TC95 18x20s were owned and played by the legendary topspn, which means every chip, scrape, and string job only adds to their value. They will soon be too valuable to ever part with:-D Edit: Just to clarify, the frames have no chips or scrapes ... but if they did ...

I bought topspn's v3 TC95 18x20s, and I think the black hoop is the most striking part of the frame's cosmetics. I wish they were matte black instead of gloss, but they are stunning as is. I'll pass on the wraps, lol.

Nice! But I can't help but fantasize about the two missing drill holes in the bridge that would make this 16x19 almost perfect. Or the extra cross that would give us our long-desired 16x208-B

Having just switched from v2 TC95 16x19s with 330sw to v3 TC95 18x20s with 320-325sw, I haven't missed the extra sw at all. I find v3 to be more stable, and with Paul's new layup, I suspect that the v3 16x19s are a bit more controlled and precise. The frame is just very consistent and balanced...

Soft Poly With More Pop For Speed Pro 360.

Have you tried dropping the tension of your Black Widow 5 lbs? I'm liking poly in the 40s these days.

    Add topspn for safe buying

We often 'volley' back-and-forth in the big Angell thread. I noticed awhile back that he bought two TC95 18x20s in my exact specs and grip size. Somehow I knew they would be mine, lol. He didn't even list them but finally caved to my purchase requests. He's a no-nonsense communicator who is...

Thanks for the reference. I assume this Klip gut will be more powerful. I might shoot for gut/v-star at 50/50. V-Star is a very soft poly that probably loses tension quickly. Some say Wilson gut is the best there is. I'll bet that Klip gut is indeed stiffer, so I'll try 50lbs or upper 40s. Thanks.

Looking for tension suggestions for my TC95 18x20s. I have some Klip Gut and Volk V-Star on the way, both 18g. I agree with topspn above on keeping thin, full poly in the low 40s, but what about this gut in the mains? What are others stringing gut in the TC95 18x20?

I understand the attraction to a more forgiving frame. I've pretty much only ever hit 98" dunlops and volkls and recently hit the Tecnifibre ATP 305 XTC. That Tecnifibre is in the back of my mind still, but there's nothing quite like the TC95. It does seem to play bigger than 95-96".

Current 'Heavier' Racquets with Wide Open String Patterns?

Yes. As open as you'll see in a 95-96" frame. It's basically a player's frame with a pure aero stringbed. I hit it for a year but recently went to the TC95 18x20. But if you like a higher launch and loading the ball with spin, the TC95 16x19 is for you. Probably the best serving racquet you'll...

I like Multifeel (a lot) and currently have it strung in my TC95 16x19 at 55#. I will definitely try it in my 18x20, along with RS Lyon 17L, Cream 17, and Gut/poly. Thanks!

Cyclone was my go-to string for years with my Volkls/Beckers and PCT, but I've liked the predictability of RS Lyon better in the TC95 16x19. And I was under the impression that Black Zone was as close as you can get to a smooth Cyclone.

Thinner than 1.25? Noted. All I have thinner is Cylcone and Gosen OGSM in 18g. I need to make a string order and know what I need for the 16x19, but looks like I'll need to find a new favorite very thin string for the TC95 18x20. I was curious about it. Thanks.

Need to get rid of this one. Condition is the same, but I'll call it 7.5/10 because it's a year older. It's currently strung with a hybrid of cheap syn. gut for my 10-year-old son, but it will need to be restrung. Has a Gamma Hi-Tech Gel grip in decent shape. The frame is in good condition, but...
