Are stiff rackets prone to causing shoulder AC joint injuries?

A lot of people on this board point to heavier racquets as potentially exacerbating shoulder pain and I’m not discounting their experiences, but the below study suggests otherwise, i.e. heavier racquets are less likely to result in shoulder injuries. I don’t know anything about the authors but...

    *********yonex v-core 95d club*********

The stock Yonex grips I’ve measured have been between 12 and 13 grams so your 95D is probably only a couple grams heavy after stringing and that could be due to the strings you used. Sounds like it’s pretty close to the average stock weight.

    What Whisky Are You Drinking?

Ardbeg, Bruichladdich, Glendronach, and Bunnahabhain for me. Several lovely whiskies from those distilleries. Also really like the Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban.

Head Pro Tour 2.0 vs Prestige 360 + MP ?

I played with both for a while but liked the Prestige better. They play really similar; the PT has a little more power but the Prestige feels softer and has better feel IMO.

    Best radical PJ?

I like the Candy Cane the best and the Zebra the worst. I don’t get the hate for the Microgel PJ, I like it. That Graphene XT Ltd PJ is really cool looking too.

Pure Aero line and Babolat users, especially those with arm issues, how have you made your racquet more comfortable (and safe)?

Sell the Babolats, buy something softer, and string them with softer strings.

Advice on picking a Head frame

I don’t think the Prestige MP is low powered but that’s subjective and I play it with softer strings which helps. I play with softer strings on all my racquets though. I certainly don’t notice any power difference between the Prestige MP and Gravity Tour but the Speed Pro does have a little...

    Technifibre RPX

I think this string could work alright as a hybrid with a softer round poly. I can’t tell any difference between Triax and RPX. They play the same to me.

    Technifibre RPX

Tension loss seemed pretty good until about hour 10. Then the tension loss became pretty noticeable. I’ve probably got about 12 hours on the strings now and they’re reading about 44. The durability is still holding up reasonably well but the tension loss is getting on the edge of unusable...

    Full gut setups

Interesting, I’ve never gone below 50/48 in an 18x20. I think I need to give this a shot. May try 46/44 the first time around and see how that goes.

Advice on picking a Head frame

The 360+ Prestige MP and Yonex VCORE Pro HD are my two favorite racquets out right now and I’ve tried a lot of them. If you like 18x20s, Head is a good place to be. If you want a 100, there are several options. If you want something smaller, there is just the Prestige MP, but it’s a d@mn good...
