I'm starting a racquet company - how would you design your perfect racquet?

Yes, absolutely - it just takes a lot of time to go back and forth with samples from the China to the UK so the process is taking a little longer than expected! Hold tight and I'll post an update in the nest week or two.

Cool - well the updated samples have been ordered, i'll drop you a message when they're approved and the production sticks are ready to be sent out. Happy to give 2/3 sticks and a bag for free if he does the usual bit of social media promotion. I have - and I actually still have a couple! It...

I'm starting a racquet company - how would you design your perfect racquet?

That's be a bit too similar to wilson for us. We're probably going for the rubberized light grey colour with gold accents as it's classy in an art-deco kinda way. Our USP 1) Different, unique design design 2) Different weights - 330gram in open/closed string patterns, something wilson doesn't...

I'm starting a racquet company - how would you design your perfect racquet?

My train of thought was that if i can get a vague nod of approval from the forum, which I think i have, then I'm on the right track with the products! You should never be scared of getting the opinions of critics early on in a company's formation, as long as you don't take it to heart. Not to...

We're seeing what the quality of our leather grips will be, our first samples have been good, they are comparable to the ashaway/heads ones. We will be retailing them towards the end of february 2019 at the latest When you get the initial quotations they gave tolerances to +/- 7.5g, I've got...

Why do alot of people still think “made in china” means the product is low quality/sketchily manufactured?

I'm getting my company's racquets made in China. I've skyped called them as they've walked around the factory (insert health and safety related joke here) and the manufacturing, testing qc controls are legit. good conditions and genuinely good quality stuff. When I imported stuff from china 12...

The most comfortable racket you've played with?

I second this - i miss that racquet, I just needed a bigger head! My old Volkl Tour-10 V Engines were sofa-like as well.

Without libelling myself here, Djokovic's elbow issues 'may' have been slightly overblown by his team including his 'unspecified' surgery. Just saying. Thanks! A foam filled handle is likely to and the frame won't be too stiff- 60ra strung 65/ra unstrung going by the factory.

I'm starting a racquet company - how would you design your perfect racquet?

I'm not sure about putting foam all the way through the frame, but we won't have racquets that are too stiff.. the first test racquets have an unstrung ra of 65 or so.

I'm starting a racquet company - how would you design your perfect racquet?

My testing will be extensive as I am the worlds clumsiest tennis player and treat my racquets like s**t :D

Yes 18x20 in the 330g version is definitely coming and maybe in the 300g. We're still undecided on the paint colour but will let you know if the glossy black is picked to match your labrador ;)

I'm starting a racquet company - how would you design your perfect racquet?

Got it, thank you. The short answer: very. I love tennis and have had so many different racquets so every day of this business is a blessing for me. The short answer is that it will probably play the same as other racquets, just with unique specs that some will like, some will not, and no...

I'm starting a racquet company - how would you design your perfect racquet?

That's just the base colour without any designs on it - our brand is design and quality led so we'd design something cool and providing a nice looking equivilat to the competition. Whether we get huge is another matter but the clothes are going to generate us more money than the racquets...

I'm starting a racquet company - how would you design your perfect racquet?

One of our marketing campaigns is to send free racquets to upcoming juniors and doubles players, but this will only start happening in the next 3 months or so. We will be giving players 'affiliate links' so that if they recommend someone for business, the person will get a discount and the...

I'm starting a racquet company - how would you design your perfect racquet?

It's a (generally) well liked racquet and head size, we're toning down the stiffness and changing the available weights to fill the niches in the market as we feel they'll be popular specs. If they do we'll then we might well emulate the H22 - bear in mind we are going for mass market here and...

I'm starting a racquet company - how would you design your perfect racquet?

I hope so too, testing starts next week! Specs: 97 square inches, 'PWS' removed from the above photos, 65ra stiffnes (unstrung) 300g & 330g, with the latter coming standard with a leather grip. I might even send some to you guys to test, Do you think that would be a good idea?

I'm starting a racquet company - how would you design your perfect racquet?

I think it would - though this wouldn't look bad as a geometric art-deco style gold pattern on the grey either..

Yes, you're right - the range will be restricted for now as we don't want to spend too much too quickly.

I'm starting a racquet company - how would you design your perfect racquet?

I hope so! I'm going to be pretty liberal with demos/freebies/competitions etc to get the name out there and we'll definitely want a presence in the US. Once I'm happy with all the product samples and I've tested everything to destruction and have the QC nailed I'll be pitching properly to TW...

I'm starting a racquet company - how would you design your perfect racquet?

We're doing a 98 sqare inch racquet at 300grams unstrung, stiffness at a reasonably low 58ra and 10 points head light. How does that sound to you?

I'm starting a racquet company - how would you design your perfect racquet?

Thanks for both your thoughts but I've had some really positive (unbias) feedback from it, bear in mind the logo is representing a modern interpretation of vintage tennis racquet from the 1880s. The logo is only going to be printed small and is going to be embroidered in gold thread most of the...

What is your favourite racquet design of all time?

Sorry, couldn't resist. I have the prostaff 90s of that generation and i agree about the white, it fades and looks a bit nahf after a while. Stunning racquets when new though.
