Can you only string this racket with a one piece method?

Thank you. I try and help posters here that need a pattern, as it doesn't take much to look up the Digest pattern. On this one I posted just as listed in the USRSA Digest. I guess they could be wrong, but history has shown to me that the Digest is usually pretty accurate. It was listed as the C...

Can you only string this racket with a one piece method?

My post above with the pattern came from the USRSA Digest. Specifically said 5H for the tie off for the top cross on the C Drive racquet.

Tying polyester string to Gamma tension gauge

Do what @Irvin said in post #14, and you should be all set. If you use a knot, then have knot either before or after gripper, but not in the middle of your gripper or string will slip, or just don't even use a knot like @Irvin said.

Slack in the mains + 2 other questions

Yes, I use it for gripper, my machine has linnear gripper. All clamps and don't forget the starting clamp. I use a white shoe laces soaked in the alcohol, close clamps enough to pull lace through , then take can of compressed air to dry it out. Has worked for years.

I have used alcohol for years for cleaning rails clamps etc. Works fine for me, but I use the 91% alcohol.

Can you only string this racket with a one piece method?

If not using a starting clamp, then a bulky knot is used. That prevents a smaller knot from being pulled into the grommet. I would invest in a starting clamp. Especially if you are stringing for others. The clamp is cheap enough, and many uses. If you had a Babolat Pure Storm and was asked to...

Can you only string this racket with a one piece method?

You can do that. Many stringers do just that. I use to start crosses that way a number years ago, and it does work fine. less stress on anchor string as well. I start by weaving the 2nd cross, then weave the 1st cross (handle less string that way). Then I pull both top crosses together, and...

Can you only string this racket with a one piece method?

Definitely not. You followed protocols . You offer that, they will think you really screwed things up, when there is no issue. Also, I see TW does not even offer those grommets, are you going to offer something you may not get? Although one place will most likely have them at about 3/4 the price...

Can you only string this racket with a one piece method?

Does not matter at all. That is like that with a number of racquets. can be that way at the head of racquet, and other frames be that way at the throat. That is not any issue at all.

Can you only string this racket with a one piece method?

The USRSA definitely lists 5H. Look, most likely both ways will work. Really doesn't matter a bunch. Since you were able to get the tie off in 5H , I would assume The Digest is correct, as normally one would have a difficult time to get a tie off in a grommet that was not correct if it was not...

Can you only string this racket with a one piece method?

I just posted what I typically use. I guess if I had the racquet on my machine, and can see exactly what the racquet looks like, I would normally use the Digest pattern if it works. If it would not , then I would look for alternative solution. If the 5H would accept the tie off I would use it, if...

Can you only string this racket with a one piece method?

I just posted what the USRSA Digest has listed for the Babolat C Drive 105. So if I post wrong, I will let you post for patterns whenever someone needs one in the future , as you know better than "The Digest" I trust the Digest as it helped me with many patterns in the past. Sometimes I had to...

Is it normal to smash your toes on hard stops?

That depends on the manufacturer as some shoes run a slight difference. My tennis shoes size is same as all my other shoes and no issues.

Babolat Star 5 or Prince 5000

Rabbit commented that Babolat had 12 of the base clamps remaining for the Sensor. That's it, since he bought two they are down to ten now, certainly not a stock pile like you think, and that was a common replacement part for that machine as it had issues. I guess if you hunt around you may find...

I need help picking a tennis shoe

If those are your options then I would suggest if you could try on and see which fits you the best . With the list you have, I have used the cages and the Asics. Both fit and we're comfortable with decent stability, and the Asics felt great right out of the box without any break in required.like...

Babolat Star 5 or Prince 5000

If it was me, I probably would just spend a thousand more and go with a new machine like the Alpha Ghost. A while back my LCD screen died out on my Pro Master machine and fortunately I was able to get a replacement. What if that happened to the Prince or the Star5 a month or two after you...

4 layers of lead at 12 = insecure mounting?

Yes, I only use it at 12, as some racquets are very convex like some Prince racquets, and the billiard will only touch a small contact point at the head of the racquet. With the load spreader it spreads the area over a larger area and it makes the racquet more secure. I guess I could put one at...

Babolat Star 5 or Prince 5000

Read @Rabbit thread on his sensor base clamps. He said Babolat was very clear, that they are no longer making any parts for the sensor and the Star 5. So if parts will soon not be available, you could be out of luck. I guess it's a fact if machine gets old, more susceptible to breaking down, and...

4 layers of lead at 12 = insecure mounting?

If you use a load spreader, as I use one of those at 12 o'clock on most all racquets I mount on machine, you should not have any issues.I have a nice one that snaps over the billiard and stays in place there, as it is less stress on racquet as it spreads the forces.

    Sensor Clamp Base

Well Rabbit, sounds like your Sensor will be mighty once again! Glad you can get the parts. Bigger knot for thin gauge?

Do as @cluckcluck said above use Parnell and pull to side.If you hold the tail to one direction towards a side when you release the clamp the tail will stay at that spot as well. You can cinch up that knot very easily, which is why you want to use a finishing knot as a finishing knot. Since it...

    Sensor Clamp Base

It's too bad they don't continue to supply parts for the long haul. I can get just about any part for my 45 year old car, but if a stringing machine needs parts , , once a certain age it looks like issues.
