    Added weight but less power?

I already have the power back ;) See my earlier post.

    Added weight but less power?

Yes I corrected myself in the thread. It was 8,5 with dampener. I determine the weight with a sensitive coffee/kitchen scale + it’s tungsten tape which has markers for the weight.

    Added weight but less power?

Played today with a total of 2,5 grams at 12 (exactly one strip of tungsten I had left) and the power is back! Feels really good now. Nicely balanced. More spin then before. I played horrible tough, but that’s not the racquet ;) Thanks for the tips!

    Added weight but less power?

Ok thanks for the advice! I will test with some extra weight at 12 first (and of course with adjustment period).

    Added weight but less power?

Ok, and why is 9-3 not a good idea? I was thinking this could keep the swing weight down.

    Added weight but less power?

Can you explain some more about this? :) edit: What i’m reading right now is that because the racquet is not polarized enough anymore there is less recoil weight? I was thinking of adding a total of 4 gram to 3 & 9, removing the weight at 12.

    Added weight but less power?

I agree and it was more a question about the added overgrip then the 1 gram at 12. The reason for adding the 1 gram is for balancing out the weight of the overgrip. I think the answer is a combination of the static weight slowing down my swing and the extra dampened feel of the grip that...

    Added weight but less power?

I’ve added 9,5 grams. Before this I played without the overgrip. Just curious about if this could affect power in a negative way in general :)

    Added weight but less power?

Yes I agree that it could be the adjustment period. I was also thinking that I could move the weight to 3 & 9.

    Added weight but less power?

None ;) I just realized I also added a dampener. So it's about 6,5 grams (Wilson pro overgrip)

    Added weight but less power?

Dept feels about the same. It’s trying to look at the speed of the ball when hitting at 100%.
  12. M

    Added weight but less power?

Yes good idea. The reason for adding weight is because I’ve added an overgrip. But maybe it’s too much.

    Added weight but less power?

I'm (for the first time) tinkering with my racquet. Mostly for balancing and a small addition of power. So this is the case: Head Extreme Tour Strung: 318 grams Balance: 32 cm I now added an overgrip which adds about 8,5 grams and counter balanced with 1 gram at 12'. Total 327,5. I would...

Head Graphene 360+ Extreme Tour - love it

Yes. Still disappointed that the shop (again) wasn’t truthful with me. But these specs should be manageable. I can at least add some weight at 12. How did you customize your Tours?

Head Graphene 360+ Extreme Tour - love it

I just received my Extreme Tour. The shop promised me this one came exactly on spec, so I let them string it. Measuring it now at home: Strung weight: 318 gram with Poly Tour Pro Strung balance: 32cm This is under weight right? How are the specs of others?

    Extreme Tour vs Speed MP

For me the ET didn’t feel hollow at all, very solid. But maybe that’s the bad QC of Head. I bought an MP that was way of spec, brought it back. I play with allot of spin, western grip (almost too much according to my trainer). So it helps to have a racquet that’s polarized to have some plow...

What type of game do you have? And what do you like more about the MP?

    Extreme Tour vs Speed MP

Haha what would be the difference for you between doubles and singles in terms of a racquet? I’ve never played with different racquets for different situations.

    Extreme Tour vs Speed MP

After demoing and buying (second hand) allot of racquets I narrowed my list down to two. Which I like because I now just want to select one and play (I am trying to ignore the new Yonex Vcore 98 release). I’m looking for a racquet with more power and more forgiveness compared to my current one...

Head Graphene Speed 360+ Racquet series

I brought it back. They are going to see if they can get another one that’s is on spec. This is one of the reasons I almost exclusively looked at Yonex for a while. But I really like the feel of the 360+ lines from Head. Especially the Speed MP and the Extreme Tour.

Head Graphene Speed 360+ Racquet series

So just to check that i’m not crazy: Racquet weight unstrung as advertised by Head is measured WITH grip right? I have a Speed MP that’s way over spec but now the racquetshop says it’s measured without grip..

Head Graphene Speed 360+ Racquet series

I think they are quite polarized, which works for my game

Update: measured from the but of the racket to the balance point (kitchen table test) is 34cm.

I removed the plastic. It’s a 2 gram difference. 323 grams. Balance seems to be slightly head heavy when balancing on my finger.

Head Speed MP (360+ & Older Gens) Official Thread

I don’t know. I asked the shop to measure everything before buying, but when I came in they said everything perfectly on spec but they didn’t write it down :/

Head Speed MP (360+ & Older Gens) Official Thread

Just bought a Speed MP. It comes in at 325grams strung (YPTP 1.25), with plastic on the handle. This seems way too heavy right? I’m afraid to remove the plastic, now I can just return it.

Head Speed MP (360+ & Older Gens) Official Thread

How is the grip shape/size compared to the Extremes? I played with an Extreme Tour this weekend and really liked it, but I could use some extra power and I think I can find it in the Speed MP. The Tour was size 3, which was perfect (I normally play with Yonex size 2).

    Yonex EZONE 2020 AO

I just tried them next to each other. The 100 is strangely enough more comfortable. It also has more power and enough control. Mine is strung with Yonex PTP blue. The only problem I have with the 100 is that it feels too big for me. But maybe I should get used to that. I played with the Head...

    Yonex EZONE 2020 AO

I bought an Ezone 100 from a forum member. Played with it twice now. Very nice racquet. I would recommend this for people that are searching for a comfortable modern racquet that can elevate your game, especially in defensive moments. My current racquet is the Vcore 95, which is definitely more...
