I think Game Changer is meant to be used for the mains in a hybrid and not in a full bed?

    Yonex Ezone Tour 98

After a second outing with the Ezone 98 Tour, I'm just not gelling with it. I think I want to move back towards a little heavier but head-light racquet. I used to play with the RF97 (and previous Pro Staff iterations since the late 80's) but switched frames after injuries and a layoff. I'm...

    Yonex Ezone Tour 98

I'll have a second outing with this frame over the weekend, using different string at higher tensions. Confidential 17 at 52 lbs. and another frame with Triax 17 at 55 lbs. I first hit with bagged out ALU Power Rough 16l that was probably at 42 lbs. at the time. ALU really loses tension... Due...

    Yonex Ezone Tour 98

Yeah. When I was in the 7th grade I used the Donnay Borg Pro with a 4 5/8" grip (I use a 4 3/8 now). It weighed around 12.8 oz strung (close to 363 grams) No pros told me to go lower in my grip size. Well, if they did, I probably didn't listen. The trend was for larger grips back then and...

    Yonex Ezone Tour 98

I feel the extra static weight does give the Ezone 98 Tour a little more power/heavier ball on shots. It also has a wider beam at the head (thinner at the throat for flex). I typically don't like racquets lighter than 11.7 oz strung. The 18x20 Blade 98 V7 was one exception because it was 4 pts...

    Yonex Ezone Tour 98

Initial experience hitting with the Ezone 98 Tour (after being stuck inside for weeks due to the smoke from fires in CA): I hit a few practice serves with new balls before my hitting partner showed up. On serves, I was able to generate more pace and a heavier ball than with the Blade 98 V7...

    Yonex Ezone Tour 98

Wow! Although I swapped the grip with a Head grip, my racquet weighs in at 333g! I hope to hit this weekend if the air quality gets better around here (all the CA fires). Otherwise, I'll have to skip yet another weekend to protect my lungs.

    Zverev lost but...

You know, I think many would be happy getting to the final and winning $1.5 million. I can understand the frustration losing a close one when being up two sets but I'd be more upset losing early on than in the final. Sent from my Pixel 3a XL using Tapatalk

Zverev: "I'm in the final of a Grand Slam. The two best players in the world are going to be playing on court."

Don't you have to be ranked #1 and #2 to be considered the best two players in the world? Sent from my Pixel 3a XL using Tapatalk

Pure strike 3rd Gen vs Ezone Tour Questions

I'm curious for more comparisons as well. I used the previous version of the Pure Strike 98 16x19 a couple of years ago and I tweaked my elbow. I had to go down from 52 lbs. with poly to a softer poly at around 46 lbs. before getting rid of the frames. I'm wondering if the latest version of the...

do thicker strings give you a lower ball flight and depth control?

That may be why Nadal prefers 15g strings? My theory would be that there is more physical surface area to grab the ball. Sent from my Pixel 3a XL using Tapatalk

    Is hyper g best poly

I would not say it is the best. I don't know what it is about this string, but it bothers my arm in ways that other polys don't. I think Solinco Confidential might be better. It seems to have a more consistent response. Sent from my Pixel 3a XL using Tapatalk

How do you distinguish your racquets apart?

I string my own racquets and print small Dyno labels for each racquet noting #1, #2, #3 for the racquet, string, tension, and date of the string job. Sent from my Pixel 3a XL using Tapatalk

Djokovic disqualified from the US Open for hitting a lines woman in the throat.

Yeah. He did. It broke the orbital of the guy's eye socket. If he hit that same shot into this lady's throat, she might be dead. Sent from my Pixel 3a XL using Tapatalk

Djokovic disqualified from the US Open for hitting a lines woman in the throat.

Just happened to hit her in a sensitive spot in the throat. It would set a bad precedent if they didn't default him. Unfortunate, all the way around. Sent from my Pixel 3a XL using Tapatalk

    Yonex Ezone Tour 98

I've been playing with the Blade 98 V7 18x20 with poly around 46-44 lbs. I'm going to test out the Ezone 98 Tour with poly at 46 so I can see how it compares at the same tension. I'll try it without and with the dampener (with and without has tradeoffs to me).

    Introducing Grapplesnake USA!!!

Hi everyone. Sorry! Didn't mean to cause any issues. It is due to Bitdefender AV flagging the site. Other AV vendors say the site is clean. It could just be a false-positive. I gave Grapplesnake a link to submit the URL to Bitdefender for review as only they can remove the site URL from their list.

The 2018 flu season killed 4000 people/ week in the US: 2 times the total from Coronavirus

The thing is also that it mutates and you might be able to get it again. If people get the regular flu, they will be compromised and more likely to catch the Corona Virus on top of it and get very ill. Things could blow out of control by next flu season, in other words. Racquet reco for tennis elbow

The Clash 98 is the best of that lineup to me. Easy on the arm and better control for that type of frame. You can use something else down the road. Sent from my Pixel 3a XL using Tapatalk

Why use a control racquet if you are a baseline player?

If you gel with a racquet, then use it. What ever you both enjoy using and play better with is all that matters. For me, a control racquet is one that allows more feel to better pinpoint my shots, hit a heaver ball and slice with better accuracy. I've used Pro Staffs primarily but have ventured...

Peak Connors vs Peak Big 3 (sorry Andy). Only Wilson T-2000. Who wins?

Fed used the same 85" Pro Staff that Sampras used. The T-2000 was a big hunk of metal. I did use the aluminum Prince Pro in the 80's. Wish I used the Pro Staff instead. So much better. Sent from my Pixel 3a XL using Tapatalk

Peak Connors vs Peak Big 3 (sorry Andy). Only Wilson T-2000. Who wins?

Well, my friend played against Connors in one of his early pro tourneys using the old, tiny wooden racket and lost something like 6-3, 6-4. If only my friend had a modern racquet at the time. Lol. I remember playing with an "imitation" T-2000 racquet when I was a kid. God, the worst racquet I...
