Senility will get us all eventually.

Had Roddick played at this level on grass

Era? Every player crosses eras. None are ever the same age, etc. Fed is STILL playing. And he's older than Roddick who retired at 30, because......?

Had Roddick played at this level on grass

Here's the thing....... It's all hypothetical (actually it's not) as Roddick just wasn't good enough to compete at the level that people wanted of him. He got the best out of what he had. He should be happy with his slam trophy (and he surely knows and is).

Had Roddick played at this level on grass

So you are equating a loss with almost winning. Weird. Only one point matters, the last one. Some fellas know how to win those, some don't. Roddick did it once over his career (slams).

Firm grip like leather, without the weight?

Overgrips are not firm. Especially two of them. Nor would they fit the size requirement.

Had Roddick played at this level on grass

Not sure. My money would be on the S/V players before the courts (all slams) were slowed. He should consider himself lucky to own a single title, IMO.

Had Roddick played at this level on grass

Are you the sole Roddick homer? I'd put any amount on Thiem vs Roddick, but that's only because we've all seen Roddick's career. Dude made money, but wasn't a fighter or top competitor as his numbers on the big stage suggest. He really wasn't that good in a relative sense. He had a serve, but...

Had Roddick played at this level on grass

Not sure how old you are, BUT perhaps until this AO none of these players have ever even seen a fast court. And let's be honest, they weren't that fast......just faster than the slow crap that we've seen for the last 20 years. Even Wimbledon hasn't been fast for ages/decades.

Had Roddick played at this level on grass

Thiem will win more and is infinitely more talented than Roddick. Unfortunately for both, they faced a tough top tier, even if the overall depth is lower than than those is the 80's/90's.

Had Roddick played at this level on grass

Roddick is lucky to have a single slam title.

Firm grip like leather, without the weight?

I'm gonna try these as i prefer the leather firmness, BUT are they lighter than leather?

    Natural Gut/Poly Stringing

A diabolo/diablo is a feature that allows manufacturers to eliminate the tensioner adjustment screw in total. (Sarcasm)

Who was the first pro player to use a 98 square inch size racquet head?

Not sure about 98, but Prince racquets were used in the 70's. Aluminum. Pam Shriver comes to mind, certainly there were others at the time. If you're referring to strictly a 98, then i've no clue. All manufactures measure them differently so hard to know specifically what is/was truly a 98.

    Natural Gut/Poly Stringing

I go 60/56 in a 100 inch frame, 16x20. I could and perhaps should go lower on crosses. I prestretch manually for coil memory and 10% machine prestretch. No kinks is the key, IMO.

    How to start multifilament/syn gut

BTW, those clamps should work fine without much fiddling. Just FYI.

I would also recommend cleaning them with Irvin's wife's toothbrush and alcohol.

Is doubles a separate game than singles? And Is doubles not easier?

One most only refer to Martina Navratilova (The GOAT) and Johnny Mac to know the truth. Masters of the craft, no matter the discipline.. Just because the MEN you mentioned are at the top of the singles game doesn't change anything that is real. Everyone that plays the game knows. Like i...

    Best DropWeight?

Most anyone with experience prefers a linear gripper, yes. (it seems...) Some folks like a rotational gripper, but i'm unsure why. Perhaps they can chime in with the merits.

    Best DropWeight?

Go with Alpha. You'll get better base clamps. I'm a Gamma user, but at lower price points, Alpha wins.

    RF's Uniqlo kits

Not harsh at all. It's WalMart quality at best. Glad you like it. Also cool that buy things you don't like for your mates. Weird, no?

    RF's Uniqlo kits

UniQlo is garbage clothing. I've got a jacket and it's the cheapest POS i've ever owned.

Is doubles a separate game than singles? And Is doubles not easier?

The reason that doubles isn't on TV is that TV is driven by many that don't even play. Those that play, a high percentage, realize that dubs is infinitely more fun to watch.

“No brand” 9 racquet bag... any suggestions?

Although i don't care about branding......I use TF bags because they are burly. And, it's primarily a string brand which i often use, but..... just because it's burly.

I’m not too ashamed to admit...

I'm a push weaver. It's not hard, but just takes repetition. Weave the biggest angle you can (it decreases as you go, of course). Stiff poly sucks. (talk your players into syngut....they likely should be playing it anyhow...).

Are 2 point mounting systems safe?

Sounds about right. OR, you can just use what you have,..........which also works fine.
