What are your thoughts on picking up an FX500LS with the intention of customizing it to my liking?

So, here we are in 2020. For those of us who aren't string breakers, what's the longest lasting combo these days? Back in the early days of this thread, MSV Co-focus was the longest lasting cross. Is it still the top dog?

So, green is supposed to be for flatter hitters and gives more pace, but yellow is more for spin? Interesting, sort of like how Babolat differentiated the AeroPro Drive vs Pure Drive. Both 26mm stiff 300g 320mm 100sqin, but with different player styles. It worked for them, we'll see if it works...

I don't think that's right. At least, I go back as far as the M-Fil 400, and I owned some Aerogel 400s just for fun and those were definitely slightly extended. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

I'll be honest with you, the CX4.0 is nearly a dead ringer for the classic Dunlop 4-series (M-Fil 400, Aero 400, etc...). Specs are basically identical except it isn't 1/4" extended like the classic 4-series. I was a big 4-series fan, so I definitely need to check it out. It's about time Dunlop...

Somebody posted in the thread the optimum place to add weight to increase. I myself may the calculation and came up with the same number. Scroll through the thread, but I seem to remember it was around seven inches from the bottom. Maybe 6 7/8 or something like that. I don't remember exactly...
