I'm not a big fan of "widebody" racquets, even if 22mm for the PGII isnt really that thick in today's world, but seeing that i'm blacking-out this racquet it should shave off 1mm each side and bring it down to 20mm.
Oh yeah, the 14x18 is going to keep me stringing quite often no doubt. I'll go to poly mains if the multi/syngut burns a hole in my wallet.
Thanks for the input guys. I felt seriously pushed around last summer by a Nadal special with poly while I was wielding a Pog mid, a feeling that I'm not...
Truth be told my plans are to do a black out (sanding down) to get the weight down and the beam thickness from 22 to 20, then customize to my specs.
Black racquet, white grip, should be quite the looker.
I've found it's more a function of how many are available per model on the bay. Like the Dunlop max 400i, shouldn't be that expensive but they're asking $80+ for a well-used model.
I think there was a wave of purchasing that stopped a couple of years ago, almost like it was new players...
Every single racquet that I have you will want to own.
Don't get into it. Since about 3-4 years, many, many people have started collecting racquets, so prices have gone up and availability has gone down. Also, people are damn cheap; what they own they think it's gold but what you...
Yeah, i've sanded-down a racquet before, I managed to get it down 10 grams, but didnt get a chance to try it out... was looking for feedback on playability in terms of feel, flex, crispness, anything that might affect those areas.
