This combined with Djokovic now holding the record for most HC majors and winning even more AO titles than Roger did at Wimbledon has made this a very bad week for some Federer fans. What they don't get is that by constantly whining about it just makes Novak's success taste all the more sweet...

I think I've heard Nadal fans droning on about that USO H2H even more than they used to constantly repeat "23>10" whenever an argument with the Federer fanbase would ensue. And that really is saying something.

Yeah same here. I won't really be too bothered if Djokovic loses the #1 ranking over the next few months and if Medvedev gets it he'll deserve it, even without a slam. His consistency over the past 18 months has been very impressive, albeit mostly on hard courts.

I really couldn't care less who had the higher peak. It's overall achievements that matter most, not who reached a higher level on one particular day.

It was a great match and a great win for Federer, absolutely.
