    Prince Phantom

Nick, Thanks for the reply but I was specifically asking if anyone has had experience using a gut or gut hybrid set-up in either of the two frames. Dropping tension can be very helpful, but that's another discussion.

    Prince Phantom

Hi all, Has anyone tried the Phantom 100 and/or Phantom Pro 100 with either a full bed of natural gut or a natural gut hybrid? I couldn't find anything in the thread to answer that but did wonder how that type of string set-up would work, given that people are commenting on a lack of power.

Pure Drive Plus (2015) compared to Pure Drive Team Plus (2001)

There were a few on the auction site just yesterday. The grip sizes were small (I think it might have been 1/4) but they were the old models and looked in pretty good condition.

Pure Drive Plus (2015) compared to Pure Drive Team Plus (2001)

JD, Thanks for the detailed response. Has made me curious about the current version. Might put my purchase on hold and demo it from TW here in Australia. Thanks again.

Pure Drive Plus (2015) compared to Pure Drive Team Plus (2001)

Thanks so much for that. I did use the original PD Plus for a season about ten years ago greatly enjoyed it (with no arm issues). However, I was hoping the newer ones would have been an improvement. If the 2015 isn't more arm friendly I'll probably just go with the older model. Thanks again.

Pure Drive Plus (2015) compared to Pure Drive Team Plus (2001)

Thanks guys. There are clear differences in spec between the two frames. Im hoping that someone who has hit both can chime in to say if the newest ones (2015 model) is a better performer. I can't demo either but will make the switch for 2019 (just a bit of fun - i dont take it seriously any...

Pure Drive Plus (2015) compared to Pure Drive Team Plus (2001)

I think I've got the dates right on the Pure Drive Team Plus but, if not, here's a Wayback link to the one I mean: https://web.archive.org/web/20050218050147/http://www.tennis-warehouse.com:80/descpageRCBAB-BPDP.html Just looking for some thoughts on how the two match up. Is the 2015 a notable...

Question for Michelle and/or Mark - Prince Tour Backpack Duffelpack

Hi Michelle/Mark, As Michelle reviewed the Prince Dufflepack and I gather Mark owns two of them, I thought you might be able to answer a couple of questions. The first is about the second zippered section at the back of the bag. In the review Michelle said it was designed to hold a laptop...

How does the Prince Precision Response 710 compare to the 660 model

Eman, Thanks very much. I agree with your feelings about the Classic and the Warrior MP. Maybe I could look at the CTS Lightning OS.

How does the Prince Precision Response 710 compare to the 660 model

Hi all, I fully appreciate that there are natural differences between an MP and an OS. However, as a point of reference for this question, I always found that the TT Warrior MP and OS were both equally good at the same things (volleys, slice, balance of power and control) and lent themselves...

TW: question about the POG OS currently being sold

Brittany, Thanks very much. Have you had any feedback from TW staff or customers about the feel of this update and which previous version it most closely resembles?

TW: question about the POG OS currently being sold

Thanks Seth. I did see that and thought it might suggest it's a new version but I just want to be sure. I found something very distinct about the Tour version over earlier and later ones. Not totally sure what it is but it's the feel I like and I'd prefer, if at all possible, to stay with that...

TW: question about the POG OS currently being sold

Hi, Can you tell me if the POG OS you're currently selling is a new, updated version using the old Tour name and cosmetic or is it some new old stock of that Tour version? Hope that makes sense. I did use the Tour version (the one Chris did a review of in 2012) up until late 2013 when I...

The Prince Phantom 93P is a gift to us from TW - My Review/AMA

Power Player, Anton, and anyone else who has played the 93P, Can you comment on the flex and response on shots hit outside of centre ? Flex was mentioned at times in the TW review and I can see that the rating is low-ish. However, that doesn't really tell me where that flex is felt - head...

    Prince Phantom 93P

Hi guys, Can anyone compare the new 93 and 100/100P to the old Diablo Mid and Midplus? I realise the Diablo Mid had a higher stiffness and the Diablo MP had a slighly extended length but, those aside, I was wondering if there's any common ground.

TW: question about sizing of Prince T22 lite

Hi, I've been wearing the Prince Viper II Mid (NFS fitting) in size 11.5 and was wondering if the T22 Lite will be a similar fit or if I should go up to a 12. Other brands I'm at least a 12 or 12.5 but with the NFS fitting I did need to drop down half a size as I found them quite roomy. Any...

TW: grommet replacement for Yonex RDS-001 MP

Just bumping this in case TW missed the query. I'd like to put in my order asap and if there's a replacement grommet you carry I can add it to the cart. Thanks.

TW: grommet replacement for Yonex RDS-001 MP

Hi guys, I need some replacement grommets for my RDS001 MP. The specific one is no-longer available and I was hoping you could say which would be suitable to use as a substitute. Thanks, Andrew

Yonex players - what are you using?

My principal knock on the frame is the string pattern. I just find it to be intrusive.

Yonex players - what are you using?

Vcore Tour F 93. Pacific Gut/Poly hybrid @50 but will be swapping it for a full bed of 17g natural gut (might try 18g but have reservations about the feel of gauges that thin). For preference I would still be using the RDS-001 MP. A touch stiff but otherwise perfect for me. Just can't find...

TW: question regarding future Yonex mids

Just wondering if you know whether or not Yonex will be releasing an update to the Tour F 93 or are they not doing another mid? Cheers, Andrew

    Is Klip really natural gut?

Having been to the Klip factory numerous times (yes, you can walk in and buy from them) and been shown around I can certainly verify that it is genuine natural gut. Of course, given that's its illegal to misrepresent the product (by the manufacturer and the retailer) that's not really...

Question for Chris and other TW staff: status of mids

Hi all, I was wondering what you think the ongoing status of mid-size (93sq and under) frames will be. Do you anticipate any new releases (not one-off or tribute frames) and from who? I realise they're a dying breed but figured you'd be best placed to say how much life is left and who might...

Question for Granville and Chris re: equipment post injury

Chris, That does help, thanks very much. I'm very interested to find that you both used extended length racquets. I'd thought they weren't good for people with shoulder problems but if neither of you had any trouble it might be worth checking out. I'll go back and read your comments about the...

Question for Granville and Chris re: equipment post injury

I recall that both of you have had to come back from injury with at least one of you suffering from a shoulder complaint. As I'm struggling with shoulder trouble of my own I was wondering what changes you made to your strings and racquets to help alleviate the problem or during rehab from the...

Prince Graphite Comp: trying to work out the different versions

Thanks again for the highly informative reply, it is greatly appreciated and answer every question I had (plus a few more). Yes, my original one has the cutout P and the 'new' one has the raised P. My original also has a more matt finish while the 'new' one is a bit more glossy. I played them...

    POG OS.....heat....it's over....once again

If the weight, balance and swingweight are all relatively the same perhaps you could look at your choice of string. It might be that, for you, the POG OS doesn't perform as well in the heat with your current string set-up (type and tension). Maybe you could test it with a slightly lower tension...

Prince Graphite Comp: trying to work out the different versions

Thanks mate. I had no idea there was such an interesting history to the Graphite Comp. Given how old the racquet is I just assumed there was only one version. I also assumed it disappeared after the model I've got. Of course, I'm in Australia and we didn't have access to a lot of the early...

Prince Graphite Comp - Series 110: how available is it still

DLIB, You might be able to help with the query I've posted in a new thread. I've noticed significant differences between my original Graphite Comp and the Graphite Comp I bought from the auction site. Perhaps you might be able to help answer those questions. Thanks mate, Andrew

Prince Graphite Comp: trying to work out the different versions

Hi all, I have a Prince Graphite Comp Series 110 that I've been trying to replace. I thought I'd solved the problem recently when I bought one from the big auction site. It was a Graphite Comp, graphics were the same and there was no bumper guard so I assumed it would be a match for mine...
