    Nadal imitates Federer

Honestly the more surprising thing is why is the world no1, who notoriously gets injured due to HCs, even playing a 250 event. The smallest tournament Nadal should be playing is a 500 event. Just goes to show how horrible Nadal always was with his scheduling. I am sure Nadal was offered a...

Who was better on grass, Sampras or Muster?

But Sampras was wayyy better on clay than Muster, no?

Welcome to Novak's lockdown mode by Craig O'Shannessy (Former strategy analyst for Team Djokovic)

So his secret is just to put the ball back in play? And not try to dictate, or create something from the rally, or try to take any sort of initiative. He's basically pushing the ball back in play. That.... is so unimpressive. If he wants to win 25 slams so be it, but a man with such an attitude...

So is Nadal on clay the highest level ever ?

Not sure if Djokovic has the highest peak level ever at AO. 2007 AO Federer was an absolute beast. Cant see any version of Djokovic beating that. Yes, Djokovic is AO GOAT but that 07 run at the AO by Federer was an absolute masterclass

Paire meltdown - smashes frames, spitting and throwing bottles

Umm... you do realize the Shapovalov incident was an accident. Also, how racist are you?

Matches you were most hyped about that turned up to be complete letdowns?

Was the 08 RG Final really that hyped? I didnt follow tennis back then, but looking at the result and the fact that Nadal had beaten Federer there the last 3 times, i cant imagine the 08 Final being that hyped up

    Nadal News 2.0

Holy **** we already talking about next year! I feel like Davis Cup ended like a week ago. How many days did Nadal even take off? A week? 10 days maybe? I am sure he's already training for next year. I feel like he needs to take atleast 2 more weeks off

    Nadal News 2.0

Even if Nadal gets like 5% of the profit from these centers and academies, hes going to stay a rich man for a loooong time

Your realistic expectation from Rafael Nadal at the Australian Open 2020

But I am sure he will really bring it his best for Fedal at slams. Becomes a different animal then

Your realistic expectation from Rafael Nadal at the Australian Open 2020

Lol since when has Nadal ever got that difficult a draw
  14. Apun94

Your realistic expectation from Rafael Nadal at the Australian Open 2020

I mean Nadal's motivation is extremely high every year to win the AO if he's healthy. Infact, he's getting older now so his chances of winning the AO decrease every year. Dont see Nadal winning the title unless Djokovic loses before they meet

Your realistic expectation from Rafael Nadal at the Australian Open 2020

This is more circumstantial than anything else. 5 years ago, Nadal wouldve been the favourite against Federer on HCs. Not anymore. If fed reaches the semis or the finals dependong on the draw, you can bet he will be playing extremely well, and he really should beat Nadal given their recent H2H

The Australian Open marks 5 years since Nick Kyrgios made a slam QF

Yes we know he is a successful tennis player. But the way he is hyped and the way people rate him 'as one of the most talented players in the world' is totally wrong. He has a big serve and he exploits that to full effect. EVerything else in his game is extremely inconsistent

The Australian Open marks 5 years since Nick Kyrgios made a slam QF

Lol honestly if you're going to compare the tennis achievements of the people on this board with that of a professional tennis player, then whatever kyrgios does is pure gold

This is the bloke who destroyed the Davis Cup.

From a players' perspective I am sure it is a TOUGH schedule to play the whole week, if you reach the final. But from a fan's perspective, this format is a lot more exciting!

2019 Davis Cup Finals at The Magic Box(Nov 18-24, 2019)

I SWEARRR. They shouldnt let Feli anywhere near a tennis court tomorrow. That was absolute rubbish by him

    Damn Nadal o_O

Tell that to Nadal who is pumping his veins out atm
  21. Apun94

    Damn Nadal o_O

Even if you somehow believe Nadal was trying to avoid Djokovic, think of the fact that Nadal was still gunning for the YE#1. He badly needed those points. It worked out pretty well for him in the end, but dont think he deliberately tried to miss gaining points especially when the race was so tight
  22. Apun94

    Damn Nadal o_O

He was saving himself for the WTF. Unfortunately he gave up the WTF title himself by playing **** poor against Zverev

    Damn Nadal o_O

    Davis Cup GOAT
  24. Apun94

    Damn Nadal o_O

I still think Federer would have beaten Nadal had they played in the semis. There's a special sense of urgency that Federer brings these days when he plays Nadal.

Fed on Nadal: "He's gonna go down as maybe the Greatest Player Of All Time"

I wasnt going to say anything on this post but Novak being more aggressive than Nadal is just ridiculous. Maybe ten years ago, but it hasnt been the case for a long time. The only time Novak seems to be aggressive these days is against Fedal but that's about it

Fed on Nadal: "He's gonna go down as maybe the Greatest Player Of All Time"

I have never said that. If you actually read my original post, I was talking about Novak being too one dimensional now, (and doesnt seem to want to go to a plan B if his game isnt working, these days). It's very surprising to see an all time great being too one dimensional

Fed on Nadal: "He's gonna go down as maybe the Greatest Player Of All Time"

I would say when he first burst onto the scene (2007-2008) he was definitely an aggressive baseliner. Unfortunately he started playing way too passively for a couple of years but then found the right balance from 2011 onwwards. Unfortunately since his physical decline, he's become even more...

Fed on Nadal: "He's gonna go down as maybe the Greatest Player Of All Time"

One match doesnt prove anything. (although yes he was pretty aggressive against Kachanov yesterday, which makes his lack of intent in general, even more surprising) But if you want to base this on one match, look at his performance in this year's WTF alone. He was literally just putting back...

Fed on Nadal: "He's gonna go down as maybe the Greatest Player Of All Time"

He is still extremely calculative in those situations. Still plays extremely heavily within himself. Just cant respect that
