    Have people unnecessarily over-hyped Sinner?

Even Djokovic at 18 took a set off of Federer at his peak at their first meeting in Monte Carlo as well.

A reminder on what a 19 years old can actually do

He's not even that great compared to a 19 year old Djokovic who beat everyone in straights at Miami 2007, including Nadal and Murray. Imagine if Djokovic was younger when he faced Sinner. Sinner would've gotten bagelled and bread sticked unlike this old man who kept donating him breaks.

Most intelligent tennis player ever? (tennis wise)

I think Federer in his peak probably could do any type of shot and Murray too at times.

Suppose tennis gods ensure Nadal his 21 at WB and he skips RG. Then in your eyes who will lift the trophy?

This. Peak or prime Novak never got bagelled by Nadal on clay before 2019. He also used to beat Thiem easily. Quite obvious he has declined in clay, I'd say his clay peak was in 2015.

What does Djokovic need to do in order to become a legend?

Win all slams in doubles, and the Olympic gold medals, then he would be the legend of tennis far surpassing goat.

What does Djokovic need to do in order to become a legend?

Bagel Nick Kyrgios and have him say he's the Goat.

A reminder how a proper breakthrough looks like...

Djokovic won a slam at 20 years old straight setting Federer only losing one set the whole tournament, he already backed up his breakthrough. At Med's age at his first slam final, Djokovic won his second slam only losing one set and it was his fourth final.

How many slams for someone like 2007-2010 Djokovic in 2017-2020

Djokovic really should've won the USO in 2007. Too bad he had to face a more experienced opponent in the final and he choked all the set points he had. At least the year after that he got his revenge.
  9. B

Would Djokovic have definitely won the USO last year if he wasn't disqualified?

I think he would if he got past Busta. He was definitely mad at himself for missing the opportunity, especially after watching that terrible final.

A reminder how a proper breakthrough looks like...

Djokovic's variety and touch was pretty impressive back then especially the drop shot. I guess once the courts slowed down so much, he had to mostly just perfect his baseline game and endurance to compete against Nadal. I really do miss the more aggressive young Novak, but he had to change his...

A reminder how a proper breakthrough looks like...

Would a young Novak clean up this current field? I certainly think so.

A reminder how a proper breakthrough looks like...

What do you think of Sinner? Do you think he can become as good as those players?

A reminder how a proper breakthrough looks like...

Djoker had a very complete game at a young age, easy to predict that he'd win slams. Many of the current younger players have a lot of holes in their games, even Med has a big hole to his game despite being ranked no.2.

Worst 3 ATG volleyers of all times

Comparing a lot of these players to Djokovic is insulting tbh, especially Zverev, Coric, and some others that he listed. While his net game and court positioning aren't good for doubles it's good enough for singles.

    The Sinner...

Hope the Sinner wins, he reminds me of a young Djoker. Exciting times are coming surely.

Worst 3 ATG volleyers of all times

I know right, this poster seems to have a very biased view of his opinion of Novak especially when comparing him to those players that he just listed.

Worst 3 ATG volleyers of all times

For an Atg tho, I do admit that Nole's volleys and net game is below par when comparing to the greats of the past. So he might be one of the worst atg volleyers.

Worst 3 ATG volleyers of all times

While everyone has a different opinion, Djokovic was never that bad at the net compared to the next gen even at a young age. In 2007, after watching some of his matches at Us Open his net game was pretty good and he was rather aggressive coming to the net especially when comparing to most next...

Worst 3 ATG volleyers of all times

Wait, are you actually comparing all these players at the volleying level with Novak? While Novak isn't the best net player or most natural at it, he can still finish points at the net. I feel like you are really underrating him especially if you're comparing him to Zverev.

Why did the Becker-Nole partnership end?

They were just overdue imo, and after the career slam plus NCYGS, Djokovic was burnt out and was already getting issues with the elbow. After that they simply parted ways which is realistic.
  21. B

Why did the Becker-Nole partnership end?

Yeah, he gave him his mental confidence back and definitely improved his serve and volleying. But I think Novak might have hired him mostly for mental strength as he had lost a lot of finals which he could've won.
  22. B

Why did the Becker-Nole partnership end?

Becker was mostly for confidence, it's Marian Vajida that took him to this level.

Worst 3 ATG volleyers of all times

Djoker's volleys are alright for this era, decent even. It's his weak overhead that's just embarrassingly bad at times.
  24. B

Better volleyer : Feliciano Lopez or Roger Federer ?

Not sure why having a opinion would be a automatic ban but he has saved matchpoints before playing some volleys under pressure

Better volleyer : Feliciano Lopez or Roger Federer ?

Djoker's volleying is rather underrated I'd say, as for the topic I'd say Fed.

Your Top 5 volleyers of all time?

Probably not but it still annoys me.

Your Top 5 volleyers of all time?

It always frustrated me when he misses the easiest volleys yet makes the toughest shots especially his Djokosmash.

Your Top 5 volleyers of all time?

I feel like Djokovic has made some of the most difficult volleys before surprisingly.
