    The Greatest Comeback of All-Time?

Stefanos stole the first set after getting dominated that first set. Match was still up in the air after 2nd set. I knew Novak was going to win the entire time.

Would 3.5 players call Thiem a moonballer and refuse to hit with him again ?

Great drop shots by Novak and Stefanos today. Drops by Stefanos were surgical. If I hit a drop shot against 3.5 my hitting partners, they will give me the finger wag, and tell me to stop horsing around. I know someone who drop shots like Novak and Stafanos, and people refuse to hit with him,.

Would 3.5 players call Thiem a moonballer and refuse to hit with him again ?

The shot Thiem hits at 5:03 would be called a moonball by most players I know. Then the 3 shots in at row at 5:37. More moonballs. It is over 4 net heights above the net. About 15-20 feet above the net. Hit that kind of shot in a friendly rally, and most guys would give you the Zverev finger...

Would 3.5 players call Thiem a moonballer and refuse to hit with him again ?

Look at the height of his backhands ! I know a lot of guys who would call him a hacker playing fake tennis and block his cell !

Restring only crosses in alternate weave on opposite side of gut notching ?

I restrung just the MLT cross and won my match. However, I think because the strings were not perfectly straight parallel, even though I reversed the weave, some crosses found their way into the old notches.

Restring only crosses in alternate weave on opposite side of gut notching ?

Flipping the racket over does not work. First weave is over, the last weave is under. Flip it over, and that last weave under is now first weave over. Symmetric. You need to reverse the first weave direction, and racket flip can be either direction.

Hitting a double fault does not constitute a "greatest choke of all time" Hitting a DF is called "tennis"

Anyone else think Nole & Nadal will never win another slam?

I am shocked that Rafa made it to the semi's. I expected him to be eliminated in the 4th round.

Restring only crosses in alternate weave on opposite side of gut notching ?

I thought that since nat gut is the best at retaining tension, I could try to keep using it. Nat gut costs $45, so I am trying to save $22 by saving the 1/2 job

Steffi Graf - most versatile/complete player of all time

Seles was just hitting her prime and would have dominated the entire 90s

Restring only crosses in alternate weave on opposite side of gut notching ?

Gut mains & MLT crosses. Tension is loss and MLT is fraying. Notching just starting on gut mains. Gut seems to have life. Can I save it and only restring the cross MLT? In my first cross weave, I went above the main. Flipping racket over will not work as racket is symmetrical. Can I cut...

Steffi Graf - most versatile/complete player of all time

Seles surpassed Graf as the No. 1 player in March 1991, and won seven of eight grand slam titles during the period of 1991–1993. Complete and utter domination of Graf and her slice BH. Seles was set to dominate the entire decade before she got stabbed by a Graf fanatic.

Always bring your own hopper of balls when taking non-club lessons

Full time coach uses same hopper of dead balls all day long, 7 days a week. Stock your own hopper for the cost of one lesson. It's very annoying to practice with dead balls when paying good money for lessons.

Is consistent depth more important than power?

Yet, after 20 years of tennis, you have never gotten past 3.5, which is the level you start at by purchasing a racket and having 2 legs. Maybe it's time you start to accept that you know nothing about how tennis works (3.5), and accept that you're in no position to be lecturing anyone about how...

    Federer forehand code cracked

The biggest flaw in rec tennis is trying to copy someone else's strokes. That's not how tennis works. The people you're copying did not copy anyone else. Every body is different, and every stroke is different

Seriously ......What is Sampras thinking right now ?

I seriously doubt that. Sampras was 8 when Laver retired. Sampras likely never even watched Laver play a match. From age 9 to 19, Sampras would have idolized 1980s tennis, starting with Borg and Mac
