    Yonex EZONE 2020 AO

I've never had this happen. I thought the clear piece at the throat was actually part of the entire grommet strip that pokes through the bridge/yoke. Send it back.

    Recovery Boots?

@atatu -- So far the experience with the Kingsfield boots has been totally positive. Since I don't have any experience with other recovery boots as a point of comparison, I can only share what I like about the Kingsfields after 8 sessions since receiving them. 1. There's a large range of...

Are all Pros 5'10 and under using extended length racquets?

I'm 5'9" as well and I've used both. What matters most to me is finding the right swing weight and balance versus the length of racquet. But to ask the reverse question -- are all pros over 5'10" using standard length racquets? We all know that the answer is a resounding no. Isner, Tsonga...

Are all Pros 5'10 and under using extended length racquets?

Yuichi Sugita (5'9")uses standard length Babolat racquets as well I believe (Pure Drive and Pure Strike). Ricardas Berankis (5'9") uses a standard length Yonex Vcore 97. Corentin Moutet appears to be using a standard length Wilson as well.

I usually break multi before it gets to the point of tension loss. So..yes in my case

    2021 US Open Tickets

Yep...I'm already subscribed to the US Open emails. There just hasn't been anything coming through about individual tickets. As for the cheap seats in Ashe, it's not really an option for me. In 2017, I had an Ashe day session ticket in section 24 (court level). While the view was good, it...

    2021 US Open Tickets

Does anyone know if the USTA is planning to release any individual tickets for this year's Open via their direct sale partner TicketMaster? Currently, promised tickets are only available via the 3rd party sites (StubHub, Vivid Seats, etc.). On those sites, the markup on just grounds passes...

    Radical Team Building

I'm going to cherry pick just the first half of your post since that's all that really counts in the context of the original post...and then I'm going to leave it there. These two scenarios aren't even equivalent. Yes. It matters. What your scenarios fail to do is take into account the...

    Radical Team Building

Consider it...yes (half-heartedly). Actually do it....no if I know the exact machinations. If there's a full disclosure that I'm being brought in as a ringer, I'll refuse to participate. If I'm told otherwise and find out that I've been lied to, I'll play (begrudgingly and not with a lot of...

    Radical Team Building

I guess I'm most shocked at the level of tennis mercenary-ism there is out there. I know that there's sandbagging that happens but the fact that people are willing to hire themselves out to this degree is shocking.

    Nalbandian Coaching ?

I don't think it's a case of top pros not having the fundamentals down. It just seems that like the rest of us they forget to go back to them as a baseline or they don't make them part of their regular training routines to make good habits. On a side note, Nalbandian looks really trim.

    Yonex EZONE 2020 AO

I can only comment on the grip size. I would say yes. The grip sizes of the current Ezones run similar to the DRs.

    Yonex EZONE 2020 AO

98+ user. I'm currently stringing a full bed of Tecnifibre Black Code 4S 17 at 48 lbs. Great spin production but just a little too much pop. I'm finding that when I try to flatten my shot trajectory, the natural elasticity at that tension slingshots a bit too much and I miss long. Same on...

    Share your Match video!!

I can usually tune it out even when it's on my own court, but I always feel the intentional/forced grunting ( of this type) is counterproductive. It takes so much energy to produce.

Sliding for the modern game on HC

Sliding on hard courts is nothing new. It's just more common. I was sliding on hard courts as far back as the 90s (juniors/college) and occasionally I do it now. But it's never really planned.

    Yonex addicts call-out !

I'm currently on board with the Ezone 2020 98+ but have 4 standard length Ezone 2020 98s as well. I wanted to love the previous version of the VCore non-pro models but couldn't gel with them for some reason.

    Yonex EZONE 2020 AO

From the Yonex site. These are unstrung specs. Head Size 98 sq.in. Weight 305 g / 10.8 oz Grip Size 1 - 5 Length 27.5 in. Width Range 23 mm - 24 mm - 19 mm Balance Point 325 mm Strings add around 25-30 swing weight points. So you're most likely looking at roughly a 304 swing...

    Recovery Boots?

Agreed. There's a level of practicality that comes into play. A person has to weigh his/her own time and resources when it comes to choosing modalities. If I got a massage after every match, hitting and gym session, I'd have already surpassed the cost of the recovery boots in 2 weeks. And a...

    TCU tennis

Something like spitting on someone is more a reflection on the person and not the program in my opinion. Unless there's a pattern of players across a roster spitting at or on opponents/opposing fans, I'll charge it as individual behavior.

    Recovery Boots?

@atatu -- A lot of competitors to the Normatecs have surfaced in recent years. The Kingsfield boots were at the top of my list mainly because of price versus claimed features -- $400. I went ahead an pulled the trigger and should receive them (Kingsfield) today. I'm already engaging in active...

    Recovery Boots?

There was only one thread sort of about this topic but it was only focused on one brand -- Normatec. The market has since expanded to a number of different options but I wanted to see if anyone has an experience. Does anyone have any firsthand experience with using recovery boots? The usage...

Can I pick your brains please :-)

I'm not going to argue the semantics of the a 67 and 70 stiffness between two different brands. The Ezone 2020 100+ is surprisingly dampened. Also, you can soften a response even further with changes in string and tension. The swing weight is probably the biggest variable. The change in a...

Can I pick your brains please :-)

I'll throw the Yonex Ezone 2020 100+ out there as a potential option as well. I play with the 98+ and bought the 100+ as an experimental model for testing. I found it very stable for a relatively light racquet but it packs a bit too much of a punch for my style of game. The static weight and...

No worries. I understood what you meant. I was just saying that you "nailed it" when you mentioned that it does a good job of wrapping around the foot. Those words described how the shoe behaves perfectly. For me, that supportive wrapping in my normal size resulted in the pinching. I get...
