Serving and volleying today with a continental to start the serve, uni full western to volley, same

I can't imagine this working against strong opponents, but maybe if the server is really overpowering them Sent from my SM-G901F using Tapatalk

I give my life in the service of the Immortal and Beautiful Empress Kimiko Date-Krumm

At a certain point, the names of the modes become less useful, since the key is probably inferred from the harmony, which can change quickly. Good to know though, still useful Sent from my SM-G901F using Tapatalk

    Serve and Volley

Serve and volley is not better or worse at the req level than anything else. As they say in martial arts, styles don't compete. Fighters do. The same could be said for tennis players. Sent from my SM-G901F using Tapatalk

Anyone ever change FH grip on different FHs

If there is a ball that is about shoulder height and short, I switch to a more western grip and spike it. Sent from my SM-G901F using Tapatalk

Demoralized when player with hack strokes beat you?

I have played everything, and still do. I most like classical chess. I play ruy Lopez and qgd, as well as classical slav. As white, I mix it up Sent from my SM-G901F using Tapatalk

Demoralized when player with hack strokes beat you?

I get what you are saying. Real or pretty, I think that most of us are talking about the way we should play, which will make us better, versus the way we could play now for cheap points, which will not. Sent from my SM-G901F using Tapatalk

Demoralized when player with hack strokes beat you?

I try to play "real tennis" , but there is definitely a balance to be struck. I can't let them play it safe while I assume all the risk. I am not that good Sent from my SM-G901F using Tapatalk

    Change service mechanics for serve-and-volley?

This might be wrong, but I definitely lean in more and keep going when I serve and volley. The change is more in my upper body though. I am sort of falling into the court on purpose. Sent from my SM-G901F using Tapatalk

Federer has a better backhand the Wawrinka

I will agree that fed did a 180 with his backhand in this tournament, against Nadal no less, but this thread is a bit much Sent from my SM-G901F using Tapatalk

Is watching Stan the man changing your views on the virtues of a 1-hander?

I think it is because his swing path is pretty rotational, which is harder when the ball is low and stays low. He only really hits up the back of the ball on lower dtl shots. Sent from my SM-G901F using Tapatalk

Is watching Stan the man changing your views on the virtues of a 1-hander?

Could be I'm wrong, or out of date. It could also be that I have a big match bias, as youzhny hasn't had the success against the big 4 that Stan has had recently, and I could look again at youzhny's play against lower ranked opponents. Sent from my SM-G901F using Tapatalk

Is watching Stan the man changing your views on the virtues of a 1-hander?

The two back hands are different. The grips are different. I just don't see a causality that is more likely than the points in my previous posts. I think shot mechanics are neat, but they are over emphasised on this board. Sent from my SM-G901F using Tapatalk
