Does a powerful racket make it easier to generate ball speed?

Funny how the average speed of shot by the playtesters on the TW reviews is roughly always the same regardless of the racket though

Wrist Pain - What to do?

Figure out if it's the ligaments or muscular (aka look up myofascial trigger point). If it's muscular massage, stretch the appropriate muscles. If it's ligament, rest. Then think about why it happened in the first place, its definitely not a normal thing. I had wrist pain once in my life when I...

    Racquet advice for a 12 y/o

Maybe try out the classics great 'all around' rackets often used by junior players aka Head Speed MP, Wilson Blade or Babolat Pure Strike. These frames could stay with him far into teenagehood and more (look at the players at the orange bowl or even college players) I personally don't see any...

    Tennis Elbow. Is it curable?

Yes of course it is Look up 'myofascial trigger points' + 'tennis elbow' (or + 'elbow pain') Thank me later ie: MTPs play a major role in the majority of chronic pain issues and their importance is...

    Diary of a Racketaholic

Yes bumping up the swingweight to 335 SW should be possible according to the mighty TWU calculators! Never modded a racket yet though. Willing to learn the ins and outs. Gonna buy the Wilson and the TW tungsten tape and try and experiment I guess Slight OFF-TOPIC but I admit I just received a...

    Diary of a Racketaholic

Possible, but nothing a little lead couldn't fix though? The 'lowish' SW on these frames has always intrigued me. Guess it could be a good platform frame with 63 RA (not that flexible though?)

What strength exercise has helped your tennis the most?

What I do and therefore what I would recommend doing are two of the most complete compound movements: 1) deadlifts and 2) kettlebell (russian) swings. Works the mighty POSTERIOR CHAIN. The all important HAMSTRINGS as well as the back and the abs. I throw in some 3) overheadpress to work the...

Please help me to choose racket/strings

Well spotted my bad. I'm getting kind of frustrated for no reason here lol Sadly, I have never played with the Gravity Pro lol. Speed MP and Extreme Pro on the other hand are very very playable AND I played them both. EDIT: isn't the gravity pro 'easier' to play than the six one though??

Please help me to choose racket/strings

I would recommend a good old six one 95 To learn to play real good tennis buy a classic 'heavy' racket and deal with it It will FORCE you to care about your placement weight transfer and to work with the big muscles the kinetic chain etc and to have a LOOSE ARM learning and NOT to ARM the ball...

    Rublev testing Head blackout

I'm curious: has anyone customized his Gravity Pros to Rublev's set-up aka 340g unstrung (or to something close to it like >330) ? I don't know his balance and SW though... Could be interesting way to get a good solid 'heavy' racket... and here in Europe they're selling very much cheaper than...

One handed backhand ideal wrist position

Most important thing is : You should hold the racket loosely and the wrist should be relaxed/flexible/passive!!! If you want a description it starts slightly cocked back when the racket is back and vertical then you let it drop it goes to neutral and throught the swing it goes to the extended...
